The Future Threat - Meet Again

When the sun goes down and the Moon comes up. Well. In this case Moon is courtesy of fellow djs Johannes Albert & Johannes Paluka (aka Iron Curtis). They joined forces in the Musikstudio long time ago and after two bangin' maxi singles it's time to go full length. 
Their debut LP is entitled "Industrie & Zärtlichkeit" and it's a journey into all things small. Rough sketches sprinkled with red melodies and swinging lose drum machine loops. Trying to find at least some beauty in darker things? Certainly. Nine tracks between classic electro (more Detroit less Berlin we assume), calm ambient textures and even a slight chance of euphoria (see "MFB Nights" for reference). Comes attached with two remixes. Black Spuma in a "Metro Area" vain and Lerosa here goes "The Cure" all the way.

The fields were moist and damp after the early morning rainfall, the birds chirped and sang in the glow of the daylight as the darkness was banished beyond the hill. Soon the farmer would emerge to tend to the crops, the piling weeds and the dense woodland which was thick and busy all around. This was his special place, a reclusive space in which he could be free from the rules and constraints of the mainland. City life had never been for him, he was a man of the country, a child of the corn. 

Keller Crackers are a Berlin based trio drawing upon a wealth of influence from krautrock, experimental music and ambient soundscapes. They blur the lines with a post punk inspired edge. The perfect remixer of choice would naturally be none other than Tolouse Low Trax, longstanding pioneer of krautrock and electronic eclecticism in Germany.

New York mainstay (Lord) Fascinator drops another remix of his tune Beyoğlu. This time the track gets the remix treatment from Dreem who teams up once again with Kris Baha under their Die Orangen-moniker and deliver once again, after a remix on Le Temps Perdu a few weeks back, an outstanding experimental piece of music. Their take of Beyoglu, named after a district of Turkey's capital Istanbul, covers various unexpected yet anticipated sounds, structues and sequences. With an almost rockish note, which is partly broken up by either funky or percussive elements, and looped vocals the Die Orangen-take evolves into a rather organic hypnotic downtempo dance floor weapon that unites and captures the best from multiple genres to be a sophisticated yet easy but complex musical approach.
