Escape from Acapulco est un cocktail alliant pop, funk et musique électronique.
Le nom du groupe est issu du mélange des deux titres de  films « Escape from New York » de John Carpenter et « Fun in Acapulco » de Richard  Thorpe. C’est de ce mélange que naît le son du groupe.
Une ambiance  film noir et SF omniprésente sur un fond pop acidulé presque je-m’en-foutiste et Technicolor.
S’échapper d’Acapulco, c’est s’évader de l’image plus que dépassée d’une canette de Tropico. La ville  figure sur la liste des plus dangereuses au monde, un paradis perdu qui malgré tout garde son image de carte postale.

Spanning several EDM genres and catching the attention of blogs around the world, the Valorous sound is one that must be experienced. As a producer/dj powerhouse he has attracted the support of a handful of international blogs, artists like Bro Safari/David Heartbreak/Dave Nada/gLAdiator/Mountblood, and fans around the world.  Using the Internet as his main source of promotion, his widely blogged tracks quickly turned into an EP signed with Noiseporn Records. Taking its place at the number # 13 spot on Beatport's Top 100 Electro House Releases after one week, the “Valorous EP” shows that he is one of Chicago’s most promising up and coming artists in the EDM scene. 

Valorous has performed alongside local and national acts such as: Phenom, Mountblood, Team Bayside High, Jay Fay, Willy Joy, Dj Sabo, The Killabits, Tittsworth, and Nadastrom.

Bio - BomberKnocker/Sam Dawson, was introduced to electronic music at very early age. His parents were both heavily in to the 90s rave scene. So weather it was a party in the woods a house party or a festival, most weekends were an EDM experience growing up. He learned to play a number of instruments before getting his first DAW. And although the genres he makes range from DnB, Dubstep to House his big lead synth style comes through in all genres.
