Beyond getting to collaborate with the legendary Darkchild on this infectiously energetic production, “Starry Eyed” is also a special one to me because of the incredibly vulnerable place it came from. My best friend had recently come out of the closet, and I really struggled to wrap my head around that, especially in the context of my Christian upbringing. I recorded the ethereal instrumental late one night, almost mourning the loss of my faith, which had taken quite a beating. However, it actually ended up being the cathartic spark that helped me realize that my belief was still there. The chorus was one that I had written months before but was perfectly suited for this track and sentiment. I asked my amazingly talented friend, Paris Carney, to help me tell more of the story in the verses. It’s a heartfelt song about holding onto hope and not giving up on each other, even when the world you’ve always known starts changing around you.

This Halloween marks the 2nd anniversary of my song, "Die Young!" It recently became my top song across all platforms, and so to celebrate all that this song has come to mean to YOU and to me, I decided to mix it up! I rly love what my friend, Parker (aka demotapes), did with this track to keep the sentiment of the original, but bring a WHOLE new kind of energy! Hope you guys enjoy this re-imagined version!
