Pugilist is a Scottish/Kiwi producer and DJ living in Melbourne making a wide variety of underground electronic music. He has released music on record labels such as Modern Hypnosis, Samurai Records, 3024 to name a few and has recently launched his own imprint Ruff Kutz which will see a 12" release in 2025. I don't really like to put a label on it, but I guess I play deep progressive melodic organic house, whatever that sounds like.  My music is always lead by the melodic elements.  Dreamy ethereal synths and melancholy arpeggios are the order of the day.

Most of my mixing is done harmonically to really make the tracks melt into each other and create long flowing mixes that can last 3 or 4 minutes,with melodies from both tracks complimenting each other and creating unique harmonies. 

My musical journey has taken me here via jungle and the 90's rave scene, then on to noughties superclub trance and beyond.  Shaping my current musical taste along the way.
