Yeah, I like this section a lot!  The bass settling down here made me realize that imo it's too dominant in the other sections - there's a nice vibe to the ensemble you put together but I feel like the bass is jumping out in front of it.

Yeah, it's the finish that is missing, I think. You have all the elements for a cool production, but they need some sculpting - and this really is a genre that relies on a strong production. I think the problem with the snare is it's all bright white noise and hardly any body (I know because I just had to redo my snare for the same reason for this month's OSC :)). Also, a little shorter decay and more reverb on the tail instead to get a nice, washy 80s snare! Cool stuff, though - you really should go back and produce it properly when you have more time! :)

Nice track! It does feel a bit like you ran out of time, I agree with a lot of the other comments regarding the percussion and arrangement. This does have the potential if you wanted to improve it outside of OSC! GL

A good effort, agree it needs a little more development

I do like to point out the beutiful atmosphere and also a good arrangement of this entry. The main theme and it's development done right. And there is a cool and athentic sound design elements. But I must agree with others about the mix quality and percussion. Overall, I think you are in the rihgt direction, it just requires more work. GL!

I like the feeling of space you have created and all the sounds are decent.

"Ooriv the weird professor was close to despair and wanted to give up so many times... He just couldn't do it and yet another village lay in ruins. He had followed the notes exactly. But every time he tried to create a Phoenix, it turned into a fire-breathing monster that knew neither friend nor foe. This time it hit Harold's flock of sheep... Only a few animals survived the attack. Fortunately, the creature turned back to ash in a few minutes. Was the merchant in KreVaRon ripping him off when he sold him the old manuscript from Ragnarök? He made his way to his old mentor Norat. He looked at the notes, but couldn't find any serious errors. Of course, as always, he found fault here and there. He was never completely satisfied with Ooriv's work, but that was always incentive enough to continue. Ooriv took notes and went back to his laboratory to try again. This time it had to succeed..."
