BIO:
One of India’s most intriguing progressive house artists, with productions that stretch much further than the traditional scope of progressive house" - Progressive Astronaut Weird Sounding Dude is a Bangalore based music producer/DJ. He has always enjoyed a place in the underground dance music culture. His trademark chuggy grooves and squelchy rhythms are sure to satisfy his audience but there are always a few surprises along the way.

As it happens with a lot of artists, only DJ’ing wasn’t enough for his musical expedition, so he embarked on a journey to prove his worth as a self-taught producer. Drawing his influences by the likes of James Holden, Extrawelt, Hernan Cattaneo and Worakls. Being a regular on the charts of Beatport, his music has gained continuous support by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Cid Inc., Praveen Achary and Soulfire. 

He has already made a mark in the underground circuit with releases on Traum Schallplatten, Juicebox Music, Stripped Recordings, System Recordings, Bullfinch. Well-known blogs Change Underground, Underground Tel-Aviv, When We Dip, Nie Wieder Schlafen have shown regular interest in his tracks. He has also made a mark on the DJ circuit by performing at music festivals like Sunburn, R.E.S.E.T., Ctrl Alt Dance and Krank. 

He’s had the privilege to perform alongside the likes of Jimpster (UK), Vaal (Berlin), Dauwd (UK), Nucleya, Fuzzy Logic, Vinayaka^a, Ash Roy and No Latency. He was also nominated under the Techno category for MyFav Awards (2014-15). He regularly curates a monthly podcast called Furtherance, new episodes of the podcast will be available for streaming every fourth Sunday of the month. It’s safe to say that this “Dude” in particular isn’t just another kid on the block. His voyage has slowly started to take shape with no intentions of slowing down.

I’m happy to present to you Passage, the fourth episode of the Aurora series, which was filmed at Domaine de l’Île Au Canot. The island is part of the Isle-aux-Grues Archipelago situated in the middle of the St-Lawrence Seaway. I’ve been visiting this mystical place with my family at every transitional season as a way to unwind and remind ourselves just how important it is to be more in tune with nature and the impact we have on it. The speed at which the weather can change around there and how quickly its habitat responds, deeply inspires my djing philosophy: the crowd is my weather, and I’m like the habitat, I constantly adapt. I hope you’ll enjoy this audio-visual journey and that we’ll see each other soon on the dancefloor, once this odd period of time will be passed us. After all, music cannot exist without being shared through human connection

For the 27th JEUDI issue let’s welcome back one of the label headhonchos Doctor Dru. The “Savannah” EP is uniting his past as a drummer and his feel for hooky, layered arpeggios in a perfect manner. Dru’s tracks are always welcomed sureshots on the foor. His last contribution “The Pattern” stirred up the summer in Ibiza in 2015 and was played to death by major league artists like Solomun or Nic Fanciulli. This year his infamous remixes of D-nox & Beckers “Serenade” on JEUDI , Nico Stojans “BLUE HOUR” and Sailor &I’s “Letters” stirred up the festivals and foors around the world. We are sure this release will fnd his way in the playlist of many DJs as well.

The “Savannah” leads you in the wide of the african steppe merging multi layered arpish melodies into one fne percussion driven hypnotizing tune. Of course with never missing the hands up moment.

“Praerie” is featuring a little darker atmosphere but not less percussion driven. You’ll fnd Dru’s signature drone with trancy melody interjections. But the breakdown is what made the tracks name. Inspired by the west coast synth melodies of the late 70’s it comes suprisingly and with just the right power to make the crowd freak out.

Release Info: 
In 2015 Artbat made a loud statement and asserted themselves with a ‘Mandrake’ EP released on Definition:Music. The very first effort from this Ukrainian electronic project resulted in critical acclaim and warm reception by the local and foreign audience. It&#39;s powerful, full-bodied and hypnotizing sound won respect from many DJs of worldwide fame, including Umek, Maceo Plex, Richie Hawtin and Sasha.

Artbat was formed by two experienced deejays and producers from Kiev - Artur and Batish. Their portfolio builds upon a series of about 10 successful releases that charted globally and conquered numerous dancefloors all over the world. Such tracks as ‘Mandrake’, ‘Saltation’ and ‘Chivvy’, released by Definition:Music, paved their way to the international popularity. Though their major step forward – a release on Diynamic Records run by a world star DJ Solomun - is yet ahead.

Aside from Artbat’s popularity, the sheer amount of gigs in their tour schedule has skyrocketed too. Their DJ sets always deliver a wall of unrestrained energy and musical revelation. Artur and Batish fancy surprising their public with brand new releases, IDs and white-labels, unpredictable tracks and exclusive promos – their live shows can be compared to sharing and receiving in return.

In Summer 2016 Artbat’s touring geography has expanded not only along the ranks of the best Ukrainian clubs, but successfully extended the nightlife world capital and club epicenter Ibiza. The Ukrainian electronic duo’s name has frequently appeared on the lineup at the Destino night club.

Hey everyone, i wasn't sure that i was going to be doing one of these this year.I honestly just didn't feel like it up until a few days ago, until i opened Ableton and decided to give it a go. Usually i have a tracklist running for several months before i finish this mix, but this year i decided to take a different approach by just mixing it randomly (its 2020 after all planning is pointless). So this is a random walk inside my 2020 music folder including music from Daniel Avery, Eris Drew, Palms Trax, Kornel Kovacs, Omar S, Fantastic Man, Burial & Shanti Celeste just to name a few.
