Temudo joins for DifferentSound Podcast #119.

The Portuguese João Rodrigues started his alias Temudo in 2014, As a music producer and DJ, Temudo is part of a new generation of artists whose work relies on the contemporary approach to Techno. His music allies the soul of the genre with a modern methodology, and has the seal of genre defining labels like Klockworks, Soma, Modularz, Mord or Warm Up. He’s one of the minds behind Hayes and runs his own Mastering Studio: Tema Mastering. As a DJ he navigates through the ramifications of Techno in 3 decks, in a fast paced eclectic journey.

Over the last years he saw some of his music being widely played, such as “Tough To Say” or “The Beholder” from the EPs “Unnecessary” and “Not The End But a Change”, both released on Soma, or “Jack and Verge” from the collaborative EP with Nørbak “I Will Guide Thy Hand”, released on Modularz. 2021 seems to be a productive year, with the debut on Ben Klock’s Klockworks and Oscar Mulero’s Warm Up with 2 acclaimed EPs.

Hailing from Venezuela and now based in Montréal, Canada, Isabel Soto is a techno music producer, DJ, and the visionary behind the record label NYXII. She currently holds a residency with the Montreal-based Arder collective.
 
Her hypnotic and deep approach takes the listener on a journey through both her sets and productions, creating a sonic atmospheric experience enriched by pulsating rhythms and percussive beats.
 
She has quickly left a mark on the music scene with numerous releases on esteemed labels such as Immaterial.Archives, Soma Records, Synergie, 01366, Duplicity, Keyhole Records, DifferentSound, Diffuse Reality, Second State and her own imprint. Her work has garnered recognition and support from artists around the world including names as Kr!z, and DVS1 -  who consistently feature her tracks in renowed venues such as Berghain.
 
Isabel made her European/UK debut and first tour in September 2023. This marked a pivotal moment in her career as she played in several countries and at venues such as the legendary Tresor (Berlin), The Garage Of The Bass Valley (Barcelona) and About Blank (Berlin)

Kr!z has been at the forefront of techno for more than a decade. Influenced by the hypnotic and energetic sound helmed by veterans such as Jeff Mills, Steve Rachmad and James Ruskin, he gradually but steadily developed his own identity in the international techno scene. 

After making a name for himself as a skilled DJ with sharp focus and a quick mixing style in home country Belgium and the Netherlands, Kr!z launched Token Records in 2007. It has since been a leading outlet for heady, purist sounds. 

As a DJ, Kr!z takes listeners on journey’s surpassing space and time. Led by deeply hypnotic grooves, syncopated rhythms and widely reverberating atmospheres, his desire to guide the dancefloor into unknown depths can be felt with every note. Intensities build up and collapse under his skillful hands, knowing what each knob twist will result in. Each set feels almost like a mathematical calculation, deciphering the code of collective ecstasy.
