Gotec Club Karlsruhe - 25 years of club history

Queer and multi-genre with a bend toward techno, disco, italo, breaks, DNB, leftfield, jersey club, baile funk, rave. Music is political. Consent is sexy. Trans rights are human rights. Black lives matter.

Hailing from Chile, Rata is a Toronto based DJ, trans and non-binary who weaves together melodic sounds and danceable textures. Mixing electro, hard groove, techno, hard techno, latin club , synth, etc with  references to queer iconography that have influenced his path. They use music as an expression of gender and identity to build spaces where the union on the dance floor is 100% a political act, is community.
