I know, wtf is this combo? Trust me, it WORKS! This was actually from a stream where I let the chat pick the VGM for me to remix live on stream. It ended up being a tie between Zelda and Kirby and chat was like 'do both'! So I did lol. I picked a random genre, landed on funk and started fusing Death Mountain and Gourmet Race. Pretty soon we realized that they were in the same key! A match made in Hylia. I would've never guessed these two songs worked together but man was I wrong. 

This remix did have its challenges though. One being that the tempos/styles of the original songs were quite different. Death Mountain is kind of a march style, and Gourmet Race is like a Polka? This song has 5 tempo changes, and tries to fuse both tracks into an electro house combo. Try to pay attention to the parts where I fused the melodies on top of each other's harmonies, I'm pretty proud of how those turned out!

KIRBY X ZELDA: Death Race (Vector U Remix)

Some of you might remember that I did a 20 song challenge a couple of months ago, and this was one of the tracks I started. H8Ø8 heard it and was like "SEND THAT TO ME NOW", and so I did lol. We really cooked up a monster here, ranging from Trap to Moombah, to Drum and Bass! It was a lot of fun to make, and it's crazy what you can do with a simple melody sometimes. This went real hard at VGMcon, and I hope you guys like it too :)

Settle It In Smash (Instrumental Version)

I made this for the Summer of Sega playlist from GameGrooves!!! I was originally gonna do Chemical Plant Zone, but I wanted something even more retro and perhaps even underrated to remix! This one came together really quickly, like 3 days of straight grinding. I really love how well the vocals work with this one, and it just feels like a clean dancy mix overall. Sonic The Hedgehog: Starlight Zone (Vector U Remix)

It was an absolute pleasure to work on this track with my homie Equalyze! When they reached out to me for a collab and an idea for this track, I was like LFG I've always wanted to remix this one. We wanted to go for a glitch hop vibe, but had some trouble feeling out the tempo at first. Eventually we settled on a slower, swankier speed and I think it turned out great! Equalyze has great compositional and improvisational skills. That combined with my sound design and fat beats (temporal awareness?) was a match made in Rainbow Ride. We really hope you enjoy this one!
