The height of the ribs, creating the hollow body, has varied over the history of the string bass and is still subjective today. Throughout the history of the string bass, playing styles have adapted to meet the needs of the music. Although originally played using bowing techniques, many modern techniques heavily incorporate some form of pizzicato (plucking or slapping). The slap style is created by pulling the strings away from the fingerboard so that they bounce off the fingerboard, providing both the pitch and beat.

Aha. Shared devices looks grayed out. But... if you hover over it and click, devices magically appear. I got a scan. I had to discover that you can set dpi if you click "Show Details". It should also say "Set". Thanks. (I did already get the current job done with my HP Printer when I discovered it was a Brother only bug.). Hopefully, Brother comes out with a new driver soon. I can now wait.


The work around I found is to create a new printer, that is "Control panels-> Printers and Scanners-> Add printer, Scanner or Fax". For me (a brother MPC8680DN) it comes up in the list. Select it and give it a new name, perhaps with a number at the end. Like Upstairs Brother 2023-1. It works for 3-7 scans, then you have to create another printer with a new name. Don't worry the control panel will let you delete the old ones.

Anyway, I got the forks taken apart and didn't get a seal bullet because the place was out of stock and it said "eliminates the need to wrap it with tape" so I thought that would fix my problem, but now there is no way I can get the seals on there, the old ones slide on there without much effort but not the new ones, I think it's race tech... Any other way around getting a seal bullet?


I don't use tape or anything else. I've replace seals perhaps 100 times and have never had a leaker. I tried using tape many times, but especially with the shock the tape just gets cut off and ends up balled up inside the seal. Then I have to start over. Just slide the new seals over the shock shaft/ fork tube carefully and you should be ok.

There is a link between Robot Structural and Plaxis "PLAXIS Coupling Tool".
It allow you to transfer model with loads from Robot to Plaxis 3D. You can analys this model in Plaxis 3D. It does not matter what is a kind of foundation you have-slab or piles. Those videos in Russian language. According to them "PLAXIS Coupling Tool" was created for plaxis 3D+SAP2000, plaxis 3D+SCAD, plaxis 3D+Autodesk Robot Structural. Anothe FAM software LIRA 10.6 created their own link to plaxis 3D, it works the same way as "PLAXIS Coupling Tool".

I have also tried to add a negative interface between the bottom of the foundation and the soil which did not impact the result.
