All strides’ been in vain,
when endless rows of empty living ruins rose.

And  Athena implored.
How shall she live from what was left of what once was?!

All was missing all the time.
All conversations bent or out of tune. 

And had there not been a dancing spark 
or a tender hand or that subtle flame, who knows.
The last straw.

How did I never know these forces?
How did I did never understand?

And yet they carried me like horses
through those lost decades. I made amends.

Like wreaths of flowers drifting downstream,
I don’t know when and how and why they came to be,
I know they’re fleeting and won’t stay with me
forever.

Forever.

Dilapidated aspirations
Caps lock angry writings on brand new walls

And Liberty felt flawed
When all the ones meant to hide nothing, hid it all

Permanently temporary angst in return for afflictions 
brought on by the curse of life

And had there not been idiocracies and 
kleptocracies and hypo-lobbycracies, who knows.

But we won’t fall.        
  
How did I never know these forces?  
How did I did never understand?
