Music has always served as an escape for me. My goal with these mixes is always the same - to take a journey for an hour that soundtracks that escape. I spend a lot of time trying to make each mix a seamless thought that rises and falls along with an imagined moment in time. There's magic in those moments where you're with someone and the world opens up and anything feels possible. Whether you're right inside of that adventure or just eyes closed in bed dreaming about it, hopefully this can soundtrack your own escape.

What better way to get you moving than kicking off with Cassettes For Kids smooth groove "You Don't Want Me Now"? Young Swiss based producer, ROLFEE, follows with a take on afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti's "Shakara", which makes for a deep and spiritual afro-house edit. Treb adds to the afro sound of this third EP, with a fast-paced and Ghanaian sampled piece - "Konadu". The feeling intensifies as you'll hear the euphoric call of Etur Usheo's soulful and heavy-banging disco "Love Me". As the party comes to an end, the question "Is It Daylight ?" might come to mind. And so with the final track of this EP, Just Baker successfully brings closure to the groove."

This remix / cover came about because an old school friend of David Satori by the name of Charles Butler decided to post a video of himself playing a little diddy called "Get Lucky' from the badass french duo known as DAFT PUNK! This video inspired Beats Antique to feat. Charles in a collaboration and here you go! Charles is the reason David from Beats Antique plays Banjo so its been a pleasure collaborating with this fine young gentleman once again. Lazywax's discography is a testament to their artistic evolution, with each release exploring new dimensions of sound and emotion.
