In this moment of wisdom found in Proverbs 24:11-12, Greg shares that when we see danger, when we as believers have eyes to see and know that a person, or people are heading in a direction that leads to their death, when we see they’ll be slaughtered by their adversary if they don’t stop going in that direction and warn them of the coming storm;  If we take an attitude that “they deserve it” or “they should have known better” and continue on in our lives and business, we will not be able to escape the “we knew it and didn’t do anything with what we knew”.  If God has made things known to you, If God has shared with you of impending danger or storm you should be compelled to warn those who are being led to their death. A storm is brewing.  Will you remain silent?  This is why we have VFNRadio and why we have VFNtv and why we are RE-THINKING Church so we can cry out to God and turn back to God, to His ways, to His original intent for us, to stop the death walk.

In this wisdom moment found in Proverbs 29:25 Greg shares regarding the fear of man proving to be a snare and that whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.  He continues to share how the fear of man is a trap that the Lord wants us to stay clear from.  This is important to understand for many declare with loud bold voices they do not fear man, but their every decision is based on how their actions or words will be accepted by a man, while never once considering the heart of God and how God will feel about their actions.  The opposite of up is down, right is left and fear of man is the opposite of the fear of God. We can and are called to honor men, but fear God.  When we trust in The Lord (fear The Lord) we will be kept safe!  You can’t just stop fearing man without replacing that fear with the fear of the Lord.  We cannot be double minded.  We must exercise faith and totally trust God being sure and certain that he is able to keep us safe.

This wisdom moment shares the importance of not gloating over the fall of our enemies.

“Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice, or the Lord will see and disapprove and turn his wrath away from them.” Proverbs 24:17-18

We all have enemies. People for whatever reasons in their heart can be against you, and that is something we must be aware of. When we see something bad happen to an enemy, we must be careful of how our heart responds to that!

“If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.” Proverbs 25:21-22

Who are we to be angry towards someone? We should never do that! Paul wrote, “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

Justice is best left to God. We are called to love people as Jesus did, and God will take care of justice. Justice is basically putting things back into the proper order. We are called by Jesus to love our enemies!

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Matthew 5:43-45

It is helpful to realize that at one point in our lives we were all enemies before we came to know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Seeing that God loved us even while we were enemies gives us the example to do the same. It is a heart matter and when we try to take justice into our own hands that can stop God’s justice from happening in the situation because it was taken out of God’s hands. We have no right to hold anything against anyone. We can choose to walk as Jesus did and love our enemies. We want to hear from you!
