The Mono Jacks are four-piece hailing from Romania. Their visceral, indie-inflected wall of sound brings to mind Interpol, Editors or The National. Based in Bucharest, The Mono Jacks exploded onto the Romanian music scene few years ago with exciting and intense live performances, which defied expectations, grabbed the imagination of fans and critics alike, and made them one of the most acclaimed new Romanian acts.
 
Their seductive and incendiary post-rock rhythms carry traces of ‘90s alternative and the band's contagious live chemistry makes for some of the best gigs in Romania today. Not to mention that a few of the band’s songs topped local alternative charts.

Known for their energetic performances and contagious live chemistry, the 4-piece took to the stages of most local festivals, as well as the likes of EXIT (RS), Sziget (HU) and Eurosonic (NL) and they shared the local venues with the likes of Suede, The Cranberries or No Age. You don’t want to miss them if they come through your neck of the woods.

Throughout the months I worked on Savage Hills Ballroom, I became possessed by a concept. If we had the ability to accept our blemishes, seeing that it's our fuck ups & flaws that make us distinct & force us to advance as individuals & as a society, we could start understanding each other. The world swims in judgement. It makes us feel good to think someone else is worse than us. We're born into this mindset - & much of it is rooted in self-loathing rather than merely learning from our weaknesses. We bury who we really are because we don't think anyone will accept us. SHB is grounded in satire. It is a microcosm of a perfect society, decorated in gold & elegance to serve as a mockery of how we present ourselves to those around us. I wrote I've Seen as a farewell song to this ballroom..just gonna stay a while longer. See you outside. +++ WASTING 4 U +++
