t’s Killer Boogie time again on myhouseradio.fm a little later on, with DeGama unleashing episode 18 of this super-delicious caravan of musical treats.

DeGama (as always) kicks things off first and what an hour he has in store for us. Expect killer tracks from the likes of Art Of Tomes feat Inya Day, Hotmood, Doug Gomez, Raven Maize and one of DeGama’s upcoming tracks on Samosa Records. 

For the second hour, it’s all about DeGama’s special guest - Rotterdam’s Lenzz! An avid crate digger, renowned DJ and producer, Lenzz likes to colour in outside the lines with eclectic selections and lots of variety. The only rule he has for his DJ sets is that it has to be funky and groovy. Expect multiple crossovers of 70’s soul, funk, Italian Disco all mixed in with jazzy house with a hint of African and Latin deep house beats. He has packed a whopping 21 tracks into his set including The Funk District, Reece Johnson, Gledd and Paul Older.

Killer Boogie #18 with De GAMA Feat. LENZZ

Slow Mo Lounge and its founder, Kongisto, are back with another mixtape. It's the 4th mixtape in the series collab for 2024 and this time it features exclusively the South African DJ. 

The project is called Glory Glory Hallelujah - Gospel Disco by Kongisto  ✝️ A spiritually-led musical journey through the archives of Gospel Disco.

South African-born DJ and event curator, Kongisto, started deejaying in his bedroom in 1999 after years of being inspired by soul, funk, disco, kwaito, deep house, nu-disco, slow mo, neo-soul, jazz & nu-jazz, afrobeat, 90s hip-hop and R&B.

Kongisto has worked with global acts like JKriv (Razor-N-Tape), Chuggin Edits, 6th Borough Project, YSE Saint Laur' Ant, Julius Papp, Buzz Compass, DJ Cam, Fingerman, Dave Mathmos, Too Slow to Disco, The Secret Soul Society, Monsieur Van Pratt, Vigi, Hotmood, Dice_NZ, Sunner Soul, P-SOL, Ben Jammin, and Loshmi to name a few. Kongisto has close ties with global slow mo record labels like Discoholics Anonymous, Too Slow to Disco, Hot Digits Music, and the UK's Slightly Transformed Records.

About the mix:

In the mid-70s, gospel artists used disco in an attempt to convert clubbers into believers and, in the process, left behind a heavenly body of work - Alex Needham (Editor of The Guardian, London).
