Land Of Plenty Dub

Reggae Roast has built some serious momentum recently especially after the unveiling of their brand new, hand-crafted soundsystem, a series of critically acclaimed releases and sell out shows across the UK & Europe. As a result they are slowly establishing themselves as one of the top Reggae outfits in the world. To celebrate they are proud to release what is set to be one of the big tunes of summer 2015, ‘Soundsystem’. 

“We want a big soundsystem up inna di place!” UK Reggae veteran Brother Culture chants over the top of a heavyweight digital stormer of a track produced by the Reggae Roast crew which instantly sets the vibe. ‘Soundsystem’ has been shaking speaker stacks from London to Lithuania and Bristol to Budapest and it’s guaranteed will mash up any dancehall! 

Brother Culture is somewhat of a legend in the Reggae music game and has been promoting the positive message of Rastafari through his music for over 30 years. Hailing from Brixton, BC was an original member of the revered Jah Revelation Muzik Soundsystem in 1982 and he has since worked with many of the top sounds & producers over the years, including Manasseh & Mungo’s Hi-Fi. 

To complete the release package we’ve asked the mighty Benny Page (Digital Soundboy) to remix the track the way only he can. Benny’s name is synonymous with tight production, monstrous bass-weight and clinical mixing skills and this remix is a true representation of his style. Expect Brother Culture’s hard Ragga vox, thunderous bass and heavy, heavy drum patterns presented with style. 

With a full year of crucial releases scheduled and soundsystem sessions booked worldwide, 2015 is set to be one of the best years so far for Reggae Roast so keep them eyes peeled!

They have performed at The Glastonbury Festival, Outlook Festival, Bestival, Secret Garden Party, Lovebox, One Love Festival, Tokyo Dub, Madness's House Of Fun Festival and all around Europe including: Holland, Romania, Poland and Czech Republic. They have also travelled to the US and played at the famous Dub Mission in San Francisco. They have shared the stage with the likes of Mungo's Hifi, Dread Squad, Benny Page, Suggs from Madness, RSD, Radikal Guru, ShyFX, David Rodigan, Trojan Sound System, Twilight Circus, Conscious Sounds, Disciples, Alpha Steppa, The Bug, OBF, Mr.Williamz, Curtis Lynch, Ranking Joe, Panda Dub, King Shiloh, Alpha & Omega, Kenny Knotts, Charlie P, Jacky Murda, Dubkasm, YT , Solo Banton and Soom T just to name a few. Vibration Lab works often as a DJ for thelegendary and  internationally known artist MC Brother Culture. Vibration Lab have recorded and remixed Reggae greats like: Linval Thompson, Rod Taylor, Wayne Jarrett. Vibration Lab have been associated with Dubby "Reggae influenced" Bass music but they have recently done two remixes pressed to vinyl:  Blend Mishkin & Roots Evolution Feat. Skarra Mucci & Mandinka Warrior ?– Original (Vibration Lab Remix) on Nice-Up Records NPU028 7" and Sound Transmission Records-12"-Empress / Solo Banton Feat. Sabrina Bell + Gallang / Parly B - Vibration Lab Remix) which signal a shift to a more "Digital" Reggae sound. 

For their next project they have assembled a "super group" formed out of the "live" sessions on the Reggae Roast Soundsystem. At these dances the pair would select in a throw-back 80's style,in the fashion of "old-school"sounds like Youth Promotion in Jamaica, with teams of singers and mc's. Along with help of Reggae soundsystem veterans: Brother Culture, Colourman, Donovan Kingjay and Dark Angel the pair went into the studio to re-create the energy and excitement of these dances and thus: Vibration Lab & The Digital Messiahs was born. The first single from this project will come out on the Vibration Lab label and is called: (Digital Messiahs Theme) feat:Brother Culture, Colourman, Donovan Kingjay and Dark Angel. A full album of the project will be released this year!

Vibration Lab is also working with up and coming MC/Singer Natty Campbell on some new material to come out on the Vibration LabLabel, first release is called: Tell It To Dem on the Utica Riddim, which will be ot soon!
