Commissioned by the Silo Collective and performed by the Enigma Quartet, this is my recording of the world premiere performance of my String Quartet, "The First Movement" on November 17, 2015.

A setting of the famous "Twinkle, twinkle" text :) I had no idea there were five verses before writing this piece!

The Week That Was with Liz and Justine - OST (2015)

After working with kids for the past few years, I have absolutely fallen in love with their honest (and occasionally brutal) interpretations of the world around them. It is, after all, only from a child that you would hear the words: 'Why are you so fat?' And although potentially soul-destroying, I find it admirable that social expectation has not yet entered their stream of consciousness. It was this that I thought of instantly when reading the poem, 'Tree' by Australian poet Richard James Allen. The poem seems to simply be a child's quirky ramblings, until the last few lines where it becomes more of a serious comment about the world around us. 

This work was written for an Internal Workshop Performance at National Choral School (Gondwana Choirs).

The Sydney Conservatorium of Music Wind Symphony, Conducted by Dr John Lynch. Saxophone solo: Alice V Morgan

Inspired by futurist writer and musician, Russolo's writings on the 'Art of Noise' (1914), A Meeting of Cars and Aeroplanes pays homage to Russolo's theory on noise music and the organised chaos and overwhelming noise of inner-city living in Sydney. Although it is quite a fast-paced and aggressive piece, small pockets of quiet and possibly even comic moments reference the moments and experiences of isolation amongst the wild and turbulent cityscapes. You may even hear the distant sound of a busking saxophonist amongst the abrupt interjections of honking cars, passing traffic and overhead planes.
