All proceeds from the release will be donated to Refugee Action, a charity that aims to build safe, happy and meaningful lives for refugees in the UK.  


Merging the sonic worlds of techno and ambient, Halle O’Malley’s “Bare Minimum” is a delightful, introspective composition that reflects the Lincolnshire based artist’s abundance of skill and craft.

PREMIERE: Halle O'Malley - Bare Minimum

Loutan's (@loutanclan) tune "Empty Ice Tray" is the first going up from our next release, Refugee Action Compilation. As the name suggests, the release is a 17-track compilation of pure joy, with all proceeds from sales being donated to Refugee Action, an incredible UK charity doing very important work.

Loutan's track is of his usual ilk, with the Moon Rack chief treating us to an incredibly well crafted post-dubstep groover, populated with a splash of think breaks thrown in for good measure. Pushing dreamy chords and a more than hefty baseline to match, we are more than excited to be kicking off the release with this one :)

Bristol based Nuboid has hit the ground running this year, with a segment of his massive collection of productions finally being put out into the world. A talented radio host as well as producer, his contribution to the release is the moody, omnious, breakbreat track “In a Tense City.”

Premiering on Lucid Juice is New Mexico based FURTHERSHORE’s track “BREAK FROM REALITY.” Fitting for its title, FURTHERSHORE’s contribution to the compilation is a combination of dreamy, otherworldly melodies, and hard-hitting breaks that any self-respecting junglist would love.

B is for Blu:sh (sometimes Benoit B and Terra Utopia), a froward node in the artist’s trilateral soul whose previous charm offensives for Roza Terenzi’s Step Ball Chain and Rey Colino’s Kalahari Oyster Cult under the alias signalled the arrival of a new challenger to the ‘hits parade’. PREMIERE: Loutan - Everybody Trippin [Vief Records]

Vief’s next fundraiser compilation, as voted for by the 14 contributors to the release, is raising money for Palestine Solidarity Campaign to aid their work in building public support for an end to atrocities currently taking place in Gaza.

Following the Hamas-led attack on Israel on 7th October 2023, the disproportionate response by the Israeli armed forces and government has led to (at the time of writing):

• At least 31,923 people killed, of which more than 13,000 are children (Al Jazeera)
• The destruction or damage of more than half of Gaza’s homes (360,000 residential units) (Al Jazeera).
• ‘Catastrophic’ levels of hunger for more than 1 million people and an ‘imminent’ famine in northern Gaza (the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification).

On 26th January 2024, the International Court of Justice ordered Israel to take “immediate and effective measures” to protect Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip from the risk of genocide by ensuring sufficient humanitarian assistance and enabling basic services. Amnesty International and Oxfam have accused Israel of defying this ruling.

“Israeli authorities are not only failing to facilitate the international aid effort but are actively hindering it. We believe that Israel is failing to take all measures within its power to prevent genocide.”
