Flat Earth is back for more conspiracy theories. The team is proud to present the first opus of our new digital series. The dystopian universe sets off by introducing 3 new artists of the label : Haaland, Wilt and Tancred.
Tancred is a young producer based in Brussels delivering two raw cuts filled with tension. The first track is an electro, Drexciya oriented and Detroit influenced gem. Syncopated rhythm and groovy bassline incoming. The second one is more of an evolutive dark minimal track full of hostility. Both tracks are draped with a lynchesque mysterious and dreamy piano in the background.
Haaland is a Strasbourg based producer kicking it with a scifi twisted emotional banger. The melancholy of the DX7 pads melts with sexy whispers and deep robotic voices. It tells a story about an avant-garde fallen love with a smoky club oriented vibe.
Both artists are going to release solo EPs on the label. More info soon
Wilt is half of the duo RBDP. He blessed us with an ethereal breakbeat track that will lead you into the ruins of a futuristic city under a pale moonlight . The hypnotic arpeggio blends perfectly with a nocturnal and silky pad. Nostalgia from the future.

Old time friend of the label and major artist of the downtempo scene of the South of France, Fred Berthet is signing Global Warming latest release. Much respected for his works as DJ Steef, Copyshop or Troublemakers (with DJ Oil & Arnaud Taillefer), he delivered us two downtempo acid jams, filled with sexual tension, seeping walls and slow orgy. It also features remixes from our all-time favorites Italian balearic band, Mushrooms Project, who sends us back a superb organic and solar vision or the original track and on the opposite, Global Warming’s founder Malcolm (@mmaallccoollmm), signing a bestial and deliciously obscure cover.  The synth laden four tracker uses electro, acid, techno and breakbeat influences to provide a rugged and bold reflection of the current clubbing landscape; one that is set to melt underground dance-floors this autumn.
"Machine Love"s squelchy synths and gritty percussion build towards a chopped and skewed finale, that has proved a ferocious piece of club artillery in Dusky’s sets this summer.

OOSSHA continues her path with a second release by G. Markus titled Warning! OOSSHA is an outlet for music that’s dedicated to house and alternative styles while always maintaining ferce and unique ingredients that conquer hearts.

UK producer Ben Gomori revisits his G. Markus alter ego for an EP that pays tribute to the Jungle and Drum & Bass soundtrack of his formative years. Dreemscape ’93 opens the EP; a vibey piece that instantly recalls old school house tracks with its use of a contagious groove, fltered elements and a specifc vocal sample taken from Dreamscape's 1993 NYE party. On the same side we fnd queniv turning B side track The Sleepless Moon into his unique blend of breakbeat elements and twisted ambient layers.

On the fipside, Roger Gerressen turns Dreemscape 93’ into his own interpretation of lo-f fltered chord sweetness and combining it with hypnotizing Rhodes patterns. B2 makes space for the original Sleepless Moon which is all about the rhythms. Intricate midi programming triggers acoustic drum samples that intertwine with twinkling ear candy and a jungle break before breaking up the patterns with an infectious bassline.

Andy Ash has been quietly sneaking out seriously good analogue-driven electronic music on some of the best underground labels for over a decade. The Liverpool-based producer, DJ and visual artist has graced the likes of Chicago’s Stilove4music, NYC’s On The Prowl, Sydney’s People Must Jam and has remixed Fantastic Man for Detroit label Kolour LTD amongst many others. The bottom line is that he’s definitely one of the UK’s unsung heroes when it comes to deep, raw, Chicago and Detroit-influenced house music and Delusions of Grandeur is proud to welcome him with an amazing three tracker entitled the Bottleneck EP.

The title track opens with snappy hats, flappy congas and sloppy baseline all sitting perfectly in the mix and with a looseness that is much harder to achieve that it may seem. A simple synth melody doubles up the bassline while an extra square wave lead adds that little extra hook without distracting us from the bouncing groove. With Bottleneck, less is definitely more.

Flipping over we have Hump, an altogether darker affair with a twisting acid line joining distorted 808 drums and tripped-out snippets of spoken word coming in and out of focus. The low-slung bumpy groove and spacey synth parts make this a compelling warehouse track which will draw everyone into it’s seductive confines.

Closing the release we have Actual Price, a shuffling, deep groover with rumbling low end and machine-like analogue synth part skipping around the crunchy beats. A cerebral yet punchy and dynamic closer to an excellent release!

PREMIERE: Andy Ash - Hump

Bombing down a series of country roads somewhere in the south west, they rocket towards town. Fuelled by a healthy dose of hedonism and an endless playlist, the aim of the evening is simply the pursuit of music and guilty pleasure. The dulcet tones of distorted kick drums and squelching bass blasting from the speakers incites unparalleled joy, whilst the taxi driver questions his decision to confirm rumours of an aux cable. Following a series of exclamatory statements about what tonight holds and a moment at a red light with an adjacent taxi overflowing with thrill seekers, they arrive outside the venue and feast on the energy of the densely stocked queue. 

The legendary Seoul-based electronic label Honey Badger Records returns with their third compilation HBRTRX Vol.3. An institution in their home city and an integral part of Korea’s electronic music scene, Honey Badger’s latest release features 10 tracks of outstanding house and techno produced by label mates and a handful of invited guests. Our pick, Mignon's ‘Mind Flow’, is a mind melting breakbeat cut that’s brimming with insanely tight drum work and elastic basslines.

Production duo Denny Pally emerge from the depths of Glasgow's East End with their debut EP 'Us Against The World' on Crash Reserve's brand new sister label Infinite Wisdom.

We premiere 'Turkish Delight', a swirling tapestry of influences and flavors within one five minute jaunt. It seems almost remiss to not talk about narratives when discussing dance music in this day and age but this track really does tell a story, flitting between it's different states, like levels in a game - evolving in complexity as it progresses.
