Justin Aulis Long is a sonic sorcerer, urban Homeric poet, and cosmic wanderer that exists within the liminal spaces where light meets dark. Long is the offspring of a gorgon, conceived within a brick and mortar labyrinth while surrounded by the supernatural electronic voices of angelic forces.

While engaging in themes of the uncanny and erotic, Long opens thresholds which lead to psychedelic realms during communal dance gatherings. Applications of sonic alchemy during ritual action generate vibrant forces created through collective effervescence, causing a bubbling over of ecstatic energy leading to rapture. During the rite, incantations are expressed through fusing a swarm of aural fragments composed from diverse temperaments by way of a personal and singular technique.Sacred objects (records), selector’s tools (turntables and mixer), body, spirit, harmonic and discordant voices unify and become one - The Soft Machine. 

During a ritual performance, phonic collages are created intuitively on sight, sigils are aurally  direct with specific intent, and offerings are bestowed before an alter, all charged by an engine of chaos. Time and space unravels while normality ruptures and disintegrates as foundational structures of the status quo are dismantled through intensive executions, founded in the practices surrounding musical selection.  

Currently, Long is resident at Smart Bar, the Chicago dance institution, and has become an organ in the body of that space. Recording for L.I.E.S. as one half of the Circling Vultures, Long continues to tell tales of rave gatherings past, while divining the the future.

Schugar grew up in an average midwestern town. In the late 80s and early 90s, he had some pretty cool and unusual musical influences. This lead to a healthy knowledge of computers, instruments and sound.

From 1997 to 2001, Schugar produced and performed music under many names including Fatal Erection(experimental click house), Finding NoWhere(Ambient Drones) and Matt Loathing(of Unconditional Loathing).

Unconditional Loathing was a constant experiment in sound and cultural/social manipulation with ever changing instrumentation, member roles, costumes, side projects, members, themes and presentation styles. Noise Opera, megaphones, puppet shows, percussion, homemade instruments, guitar pedals, computers, circuit bent kids toys, instruments of all kinds, Unconditional Loathing was a nightmare of sound that toured from Olympia, Washington to the depths of Ground Zero NYC 7 days after 9/11/2001. Shortly after the Phi-Phenom tour, which entailed 10 bands collectively performing in 50 minutes or less, Unconditional Loathing fell apart with its members dispersing themselves mostly across the West Coast.

Schugar created and destroyed every type of music at least once, dabbling in everything from noise and avante jazz, to ambient and intelligent, to house and techno. Schugar’s style has been a constant evolution of discovery and experimentation. Some call it disco or techno or whatever other socially acceptable term you can think of at the moment (nuretrodubhouseclickdeepdiscotech). Schugar’s sound varies from emotional to upbeat to dark and moody to happy and soulful.

In October 2001, Schugar moved to San Diego. There he produced 100's of art and music events, expanding his vision of artists collaborating and creating together. Schugar started such nights as Velvet Revolution, Filthy Sunday, Basic Tuesdays, Bleep Bloop, Dr. No's Fantasy and many more

Being an avid music collector since the early 80's and DJ since the early 90's, Schugar felt right at home joining the staff at local dance vinyl shop (calsound) in 2004. Calsound gave Schugar a further defined sound as his influences expanded every day becoming the Techno buyer and working along side House & Disco historian and long-time San Diego DJ legend Mark E Quark. 

In early 2009, Schugar created The Infusion Project, an artist collective that develops and empowers artists to be artists for a living. The Infusion Project has been a major source for collaboration and artistic evolution for Schugar. The Infusion Project is the next stage of Schugar’s vision of human beings seeing their creativity as a necessary part of life and seeing collaboration as their access to having that creativity be sustainable and useful to themselves and their community.

Since early 2010, Schugar has dedicated his time to expanding the vision of The Infusion Project through touring as a DJ/Promoter/Creative Director/Artist Coach, playing clubs, festivals and underground events as well as producing art and music events.

As a producer, DiBo's creations are generally beat-driven, heady and ethereal.  Although he is influenced by a large and seemingly disparate group of musicians, the primary motivators for his productions are the people, places, things and ideas encountered in daily life.  DiBo has also created numerous edits, primarily in the disco realm.

As a DJ, DiBo's selections cover a much broader scope, ranging from from disco/funk/soul to hip hop to house to classic rock to afrobeat to... lots of other stuff.  There is usually a point during his sets where listeners find themselves asking "How did we get here?"  Perfect.

Tyrel was a mainstay of Chicago’s underground scene for years. He began mixing records in 1999. Soon later he landed a job at Gramaphone Records where he spent many years building his collection of vinyl. He spent 2007-2011 building his Acid Test residency at Smart Bar, which was an all vinyl dance party in Chicago. In 2009 he took a job working with Jeff Mills and helping Jeff with Axis Records. Tyrel moved to San Francisco in 2011 where he help build the legendary Housepitality night at F8 and continued his Acid Test parties from Chicago. In 2014 he started a project with Bryan Bai-ee called Secret Studio with releases on their own label called Secret Studio Records. His next venture is his new vinyl label with C.L.A.W.S. called Immortal Sin. In 2024 Tyrel and C.L.A.W.S. released an EP called “Is That All There Is”. The next release on Immortal Sin is out now with tracks by various artists.

Class-A Deviants was formed in 2007. While their overall soundscape is dark techno, they create unique atmospheres by incorporating the lost art of storytelling into their mixes and productions. The Deviants believe that a driving beat is essential, yet they never hesitate to stray from convention. Their main inspiration is the family they have found on dancefloors worldwide – the greater community of music seekers who lose themselves in the morning hours, reveling in the primordial love of the drum. They have released records on Degrees Ov Separation, Desert Hearts Black, Underdub, Denied Music, Minimal Sessions, Optimal Sonance, BugCoder, Sequel Sound, and Listen_React, to name a few.

Notable gigs included the Desert Hearts Spring Festival, Monarch in San Francisco, and the Wherehouse in Tijuana. They also opened the Kalliope Art Car at EDC Las Vegas 2017 as part of the Desert Hearts takeover. Boombox Art Car EDC 2021, and completed a mini-tour of Texas with labelmate Llama A.
