Vince Watson’s ‘Via’ album from 2018 gets some incredible remix action from Deep House heroes Joe Claussell, Osunlade, Manoo and Steve Bug & Langenberg.

First up is a rare remix by Joe Claussell…its not so much of a remix, but in fact a live instrumentalist jam with his favoured and most trusted session musicians overdubbing loops from the original track, and it’s a masterpiece. Over 11mins of pure live musicianship from the soul. Sumptuous piano solo’s, percussive grooves, insatiable synth playing and lush chanting vocals help re-define what a ‘remix’ really is.

On the flipside is the master of deep groove’s Osunlade with a Yoruba Soul workout, delivering a stripped back groover (much needed after JC :). Adding some trademark Osunlade sounds and keeping the originals platform, it satisfies and is perfect for the sun going down to get you into the next groove.

The 3rd remix is by Poker Flat boss Steve Bug and his long time collaborator Langenberg with a serious funky ass version of the albums title track ‘Via’. Using the deep chords and stabs from the original, and building them with extra strings and they're typically funky drum grooves bring the head nodding factor up a few notches.

Completing the outstanding lineup is France's house heavyweight Manoo, with a super smooth version of 'Progress', with its deep trademark groove and hypnotic style. The sublte string build and long basslines bring the EP to a conclusion in the most perfect way

This latest collaboration with my friend Gabriel Lopez (https://soundcloud.com/pezlo) is a real treat. We met at Miami's WMC in 2018 and have been strong supporters of each other's music ever since. We live on opposite US coasts so it only makes sense to title our first project "Coastal." It ventures deep into our styles and showcases sounds we're currently experimenting with. I'm very fortunate to be able to work with Pezlo and look forward to future collaborations. We hope you enjoy this music!

2019 was a year full of celebrations for Nicolas Duvoisin. Not only did his label @fantasticfriends turn 10, he also celebrated his 20 years of career as a DJ/Producer and, last but not least, he experienced the joys of becoming a father for the first time. It was clearly this powerful emotional context that pushed Nicolas Duvoisin to work on a more substantial project, exploring wider horizons and stepping out of his comfort zone.

“Mon Premier” is definitely a testament to the artist’s maturity and courage, displaying more sensitivity and intimacy than what the usual club night behind the decks generally allows. Nicolas took the freedom to let his inspiration bring him into unknown territories, working without a particular framework, style or label in mind and starting from scratch for each track of the album. The challenge was also to experiment with new writing approaches and techniques, in order to lose some of the methods and habits many artists get trapped into at certain points in their careers.

The result is an eclectic collection of sounds, moving through dub, ambient, minimal and house, patiently put together in Nicolas’ studio near Lausanne, away from the frenzy of the dancefloor. Dive into Nicolas Duvoisin’s ever-expanding universe and enjoy the ride.

Premiere: Nicolas Duvoisin "Dub One" - Fantastic Friends

With almost 30 years in the Electronic music industry, Vince Watson has released over 1000 songs including 250 EP’s, including 15 albums and 75 remixes, and his hard work has been rewarded with recordings for some of the very best electronic music labels like Cocoon, Planet E, Yoruba, Poker Flat, BBE and Transmat as well as running his own Everysoul label.  His skillsets have allowed him to work with some of the very best electronic artists including Laurent Garnier, Joe Claussell, Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Carl Craig, Osunlade, Steve Bug & Josh Wink and as a touring musician has been able to play at some of the worlds best clubs and events including Enter at Space, Ibiza, Berghain Berlin, Womb Tokyo and many events in The Netherlands. 
His radio show ‘Radio Drama’ has featured top guest from the electronic music world each month. Some examples include Ben Sims, Truncate, Manoo, Fred P, Steve Bug, Osunlade and many more.

Late 2020 Vince released an LP for The Outlaw Oceans music project entitled ‘Hope’, which was commissioned by the New York Times investigative journalist Ian Urbina and is now in production for Netflix as a documentary series.

Vince’s live shows are in demand around the world, performing in summer 2022 for Carl Cox’s birthday at DC10 Ibiza and as a former Tresor Berlin resident, his DJ sets are also now highly requested with appearances in clubs such as Berghain and Womb. Vince is currently resident of 909 Festival in Amsterdam. He debuted at Berlin’s HoR late 2022.

His sets can be heard in many headline podcasts series, where he has featured in podcasts from Carl Cox, John Digweed, Dave Clarke, Luciano, DJ Mag, Electronic Beats and Resident Advisor.

His 2021 His 18 track Detroit Techno LP ‘DnA’ was ‘[re]Sequenced’ by some of his favourite artists from the genre, including Carl Craig, John Beltran, Claude Young, Jon Dixon, Shawn Rudiman, Steve Rachmad, Stephen Lopkin and Stephen Brown.

Vince also debuted a new techno live project called Amorphic which launched with releases on Modularz, Symbolism and Token as well as a self-titled label, now 3 Ep’s deep.

As well as his ‘normal’ touring schedule and studio commitments, Vince’s experience and knowledge is also being put to use by Conservatorium van Amsterdam where Vince is working as a Senior Degree Lecturer for AEMA, the CvA’s new Electronic music school, where he teaches DJ classes, Production classes and Remix classes.
