So... this is my first attempt at A.I. generated music. I tried this on www.udio.com. However, it is not completely created by me from scratch, but for this first time I've used it, I took a fragment of someone else's song, which stuck in my heart with its mood (I am an incurable romantic). I really regretted that it didn't have a beginning and an end, so... I generated my own. The track came out really awesome, so I've decided to share it with You. It really resonate with me... And now someone say that this A.I. generated music does not evoke emotions...

However, I still don't know what to do with this technology. There is no return to the state before it appeared, so we will have to live with it. But will I use it... I don't think so, at least not yet. For now I can't say its human influenced creation. Until they turn it into something like Crea or Leonardo, where a human influences every aspect of the work being created, or even gives A.I. directives on what it should look like, feeding it with your ideas, this is not the technology for me... Or maybe I don't know how to use it...

But time passes and sooner or later such technology will appear. Then we will be able to put aside our plugins and DAWs and create/generate whatever we dream of at the speed of thought  :)

This song has a metaphor I've used once before. in the track Autumn in the Wind. In that song we are "Standing waves to winds of harm... In this song we are too "... standing waves"
I love the idea of us being standing waves to poisonous mind sets. So, a standing wave is a sound wave that cancels another wave out because of the relevant symmetry between themselves and the surroundings and we get silence instead of the two sounds. So when using it now I'm empowering us as the standing waves to hate, as hate is all created on our heads just like love is...

I just listened to a very interesting piece on the radio about emotional intelligence. Since becoming a parent I've obviously thought a lot about this and generally consider myself to be that. Parenting is the single biggest thing that has challenged my EI in my adult life although seeing how my kids act a mirror of me is very enlightening indeed...

However I wasn't emotionally intelligent the day I deleted this upload...

Not so long ago when I was flying off the handle trying to make sense of politics in art and very disillusioned by whats going on... Remnant60 called me out on that and how I maybe project against just one side sometimes... I flew off the handle before we even had a chance to talk... Slapped him with some words, Unfollowed him and deleted our collab... What a muppet I was...

I've been waiting for the opportunity to make it right and make it better...

The song musically hasn't changed from how it was when I last had it up but I added a poem to mark that negative turned positive...

My outlook on life has changed a little and I have Remnant60 and a few other straight talking and silent SoundClouders to thank for that...

You know our problems only get fixed when we are emotionally intelligent towards one another ... even if our truths clash... We need to fly both directions at the same time from a middle ground and accept each other for how we are and what we are. Once thats not hurting anyone else then acceptance is the key I suppose...

The expert on the radio said we learn our emotional intelligence from viewing other people and in turn honing our empathy. Well Remnant gave me an ickle upgrade that day...

It's worrying how the young generation replaces watching people with screens though... They're all going to be weirdos unless that changes..

I suppose, it's ok to be wrong if you're prepared to be right again about it when the light actually shines on any subject. Don't be afraid to admit your wrong. Be proud of whatever you've discovered even if you need to hold your hands up and say. My bad 🙌🏽

For those of you who haven't discovered Orlando "The Don" Lund, here's your opportunity.  Orlando is a serious pro, having built a career as a writer, multi instrumentalist and producer in London during the '90s Soul Funk era, leading and creating with some of the finest contemporary jazz and funk musicians in Europe. Orlando approached me about playing on a tune I had released here, What the Funk, quickly sending 5 tasty tracks to me - a solid grooving bass line, a congas line, two rhythm guitar tracks and a George Benson style guitar solo.  I've worked them all in here, adding them to all my keyboard parts, creating some sweet soul jazz for your listening pleasure. Under the direction of Nick Angiulo (R.I.P.), Vinnie studied music theory in High School graduating with a Scholarship from The Sacramento Jazz Society and The Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. Vinnie V. was awarded Most Outstanding Mexican American in his graduating class 1982.
