Sergei Rachmaninoff: Prelude in C Sharp Minor, Op. 3 No. 2. 

Played by me with my Korg SGProX digital stage piano controlling Yamaha Montage 8. The piano preset: Yamaha Montage CFX Stage. It sounds even better than my 2005 Motif ES synthesizer's piano sound which was already quite impressive. 

Played substantially slower than many pro players and e.g. the honourable Mr. Rachmaninoff himself on one recording (it may be also that I prefer this piece to be played a little slower than it is usually played). I got some speed however somewhere in the middle part.. I played it a lot faster however when I was young and didn't have to think about tomorrow. Because that's what this Prelude is about (much like the Scriabine etude Op. 8 No. 12): you really have to play it like there would be no tomorrow, so to speak, meaning, among other things, that you cannot think about some "secondary" things like hand injuries..

I learned this prelude initially in the 1990's at the time when also the piano movie "Shine" was released (the movie definitely was an inspiration). I practiced it countless hours with my Korg M1 synthesizer which was indeed not the best machine for this kind of piano music.  This was one of the first classical piano pieces I ever learned and, since I have learned it by myself without receiving any formal piano training whatsoever, this warrants the following conclusion: Anything is possible, remember that!

I was interested in music in my early youth... so I soon got my first synthesizer and set up a small home recording studio.
over the years i played keyboards in 5 bands...the direction was rock...pop...blues and soul.
in the meantime i have discovered my enthusiasm for creating my own songs.
it makes me happy when I can compose...arrange...mix...produce and create something new.
it's like a passion to experiment with different styles of music... and it gives me a lot of joy.
the only limit is your imagination...
is my motto.
and everything is possible...you just have to try.

If you have decided to follow me, all I have to say is that I am honored! Thank you!  I have posted some tracks, mostly from my first album soon to be released. 

I write, sing, play piano/keys, arrange, produce, and can perform live all of my own songs. I work with real players both live and remotely. What I do and the way I do it takes time, effort, and money. I don't use any A.I. to write my songs, arrange, do vocals, or anything else. Some A.I. company recently claimed that people don't enjoy creating music because of the time and effort it takes to practice and learn etc...and I believe this to be somewhat misguided. I love practicing, learning, listening to the greats, and working on my music. Furthermore, I can't see the point in having software do the creating for me. What would be the point?

An electronic musician and guitarist who especially likes the more nostalgic sounds of the 80s. Composing and producing is my favourite hobby. Thank you to everyone who listens to my music.

I learned my first guitar chords as a teenager in the 90s, that's when I also composed my first songs. Since then, songwriting has been my passion.  In the 90s, my friends and I also founded a band that worked for about 10 years. After the band ended, I wrote songs in a desk drawer and dreamed of a home studio. I also learned to play a little piano. Since 2016, I've been slowly learning to produce music in a DAW environment, first with Garegeband and later with Logic Pro X. In the last couple of years, I've learned more about composing and arranging than in the previous several years, but it feels like the journey is just beginning. Thanks to everyone who has read this far.

Welcome to my SoundCloud page.  It serves as a jar of sorts, to catch the musical ideas flying around in my head!  My hope is that you find something to listen to that offers encouragement and refreshes your soul.

All music is original with a few exceptions (such as new arrangements of old Christmas songs, etc.).  All music has been composed and performed with absolutely no AI-assistance.
