SAY26 birth name Powers Ortiz born from a Puerto Rican father he is a raw voice of the South, born in Uptown New Orleans at the old Charity Hospital, raised in Chalmette, and built by the streets of Baton Rouge. His story isn’t fabricated—it’s lived. From surviving Hurricane Katrina, to moving through Kenner and Uptown, to finally settling in BR in 2009, every city shaped him, and every track reflects it.

Even when he was commuting to school out in Denham Springs—a place he never truly fit—he stayed tapped into Baton Rouge culture, forming close ties with real ones like Justin Fefee and Boosie’s cousin. That’s the kind of background you can’t fake, and it shows in every verse.

With Puerto Rican and Italian blood running through him and a voice built off pain, hustle, and survival, SAY26 delivers heavy bars, unfiltered truth, and southern heat. His sound mixes that 2000s Louisiana fire with today’s grit—raw, emotional, and always authentic.
