Helen Gentile and Lewis Wood are a folk duo based in Southampton. They play instrumental folk music on fiddle and clarinet, with English and European influences.

Psicosuono were born in Milan (Italy) in 2004, founded by their lead-vocalist Elisabetta Giglioli and their guitarist Stefano De Marchi. The band – inspired by the international rock atmosphere of the 70s – creates original songs, a fusion of various musical genres (funky, pop, jazz, blues, soul, progressive…).
Psicosuono have been performing until now in many situations, taking part in live music events and contests, local tv-shows, national and international radio-shows. The Swiss indipendent label “Ambrosiana” produced the first album of Psicosuono, “Aut Aut” (2008, published by EMI and available on the major
digital stores) and the first videoclip “Iride” (finalist of the Italian Indipendent Videoclip Contest in 2009).
The second album of the band, “Eta Carinae” (2013, self-produced), has been published in two versions – Italian and English language; they too are both available on digital stores.
Psicosuono are now recording their third album “Metropoli”, which will be ready in 2017. The band is now promoting the first two singles of this album, “Drunk Blues” and “Clochard”.

Gli Psicosuono nascono nel 2004 a Paderno Dugnano (MI) su iniziativa di Stefano De Marchi e di Elisabetta Giglioli. Con la collaborazione di vari musicisti che nel tempo si sono alternati nella band, prende vita un progetto rock originale aperto a contaminazioni jazz, blues, funky e classiche, dichiaratamente ispirato all’atmosfera progressive internazionale degli anni ‘70. Il nome “Psicosuono” é evidentemente un neologismo coniato per indicare la volontà della formazione di esplorare – attraverso un suono originale ed evocativo – gli spazi misteriosi e reconditi della psiche e dell’animo umano.
