"The songs on his album "Anodyne Holiday" take you on a journey, from the surreal descriptive poetry of "State of Us", to the slick, quiet, rainy-day-by-the-sea style sparsity of "Listeners of Piano". Thrown in to the pacing are the kind of upbeat syncopated cruising-songs that use funky and unexpected repetitions, such as in the infectious "Zoomorphic"; or instrumental additions that speak of retro summers and girls on vinyls with beachballs. There's also a dulcet trip to Paris-Derniere style latin, 60s fashion, which can only conjure the image of a beautiful girl in a chill Barcelona club, arms above her head, rotating her body in slow, beat-driven circles; and - a highlight - the chillest and most rhythm-tuned kid you'll ever hear, on the track "Carey G". If you're wondering where a 14 year old can get so much cool, it's because it's Oliver himself, several decades earlier.

Instead of just using music as a backfiller, as we are often prone to do in this age of i-pod excesses and disposable music, Oliver's is the kind you'd want to put on when you were in the mood to really listen. His explanations of life and intimate preoccupations take greater meaning with every repeat of his debut album. Biography:

Born in the bad part of a backwater town, Virlyn's only escape from the boredom that enveloped him was taking hallucinogens at an early age. This led him to both experimental first words ("dada" and "dodecahedron”) and experimental music. He put his peculiar fascination with music and animal sounds to practice when he was given the sought-after Animal Farm electronic set from Mattel. Producing promising farm sounds at an alarmingly high rate, his parents were quick to label him a genius. Hoping the world would soon follow, Virlyn bought his first barrel organ at the tender age of ten and quickly made his way to the very top of the barrel organ scene. His title as "King of the Barrel organ 1995" (youngest ever!) propelled him to quit school and move to the big city. There, he endured a couple of challenging (read: homeless) years that nonetheless helped him craft his art. Holding down a job in the exciting industry of waste allocation allowed him to set some money aside, and eight years later he used his meager earnings to buy a laptop. Virlyn as we know him today took shape! Planet Mu and Warp Records soon discovered his exceptionally well-hidden talents, the latter of which ultimately chose to release his first EP "Wolk" under the Xtraplex Records label. His parents are still not regretting the purchase of that Animal Farm set.

Jimmy Wellder is an emerging artist from Antwerp, born on January 28, 1990. His musical journey began at the age of 18 when a good friend introduced him to music software. From that moment on there was no turning back: what started as a hobby grew into a lifelong passion. 
Jimmy started making music and has never stopped since.

His music is a unique mix of house and techno, but always with a funky, underground twist. Whether it's deep basslines or driving rhythms, his sets take you to better atmospheres while bringing the energy of the dance floor to life. 
Jimmy's style is rhythmic, energetic and always has that one vibe you can't ignore. For him it's all about the experience, the feeling of the music that can really touch you.

When making his music, Jimmy mainly works with hardware. This approach makes his work raw and authentic, but at the same time refined and innovative. He always searches for that perfect sound something that deeply touches both the dance floor and the listener. 

Throughout his career, Jimmy has collaborated with several labels, including Oxytech Records, and has since been able to further develop his sound and share it with a wider audience.
With his unique approach and unmistakable style, Jimmy Wellder continues to explore the boundaries of house and techno. His focus is always on creating music that takes the listener into a trance, but at the same time creates a festive, exciting atmosphere. 

In the coming years he promises to explore new boundaries, both in his productions and live performances, with the aim of spreading his music even further and surprising his audiences.
