For the debut digital EP on Viscera Transmissions, Komodo spreads his wings and takes his signature low slung psychedelica to the stars, to reap destruction on extraterrestrial dancefloors across the cosmos.

Title track Mirror Claws begins an ember in the desert, slowly stoked by guitar chord stabs and eerie screeches towards a slow yet inevitable psychedelic inferno.

For Night Crawler, the guitar steps back into co-pilot role as the acid bass takes the saddle, spurring the squelch dragon off into the void with a crack of the 303 whip.

Next up is Vanquished Angst with a dubby desert rock workout. Blazing guitar solos tear across the sky like thunderbolts whilst the hypnotic bassline and guitar progression burn through the dunes.

On the flip, Jonny Rock re-dubs the dub with his Vanquished Angst Dragon Remix. No slightly questionable guitar metaphors here, instead, a mind melting whirlpool of spiraling percussion, vocal quips, bass throbs and pads form a completely bonkers but brilliant piece.

Last but certainly not least, Chez de Milo arms Night Crawler with some serious ordnance. After changing up the beat pattern with a breaksy kick, electro warheads are ago, clearing the way for the original 303 line to cruise through. Heavy!

Free Shelter invites the Berlins top shelf tastemaker, Anacalypto, for their 24th guest mix on Ida Radio. 

The Netherlands born, but Berlin based DJ/Record collector/Tastemaker, Anacalypto is known for the infamous "music blog" Instagram account donning the same name.

Anacalypto, meaning “discover” in Greek, expresses the digging passion for unknown treasures. Its well reputed Instagram page captures the imagination of many music enthusiasts with hidden gems from the 80s and 90s. Anacalypto’s repertoire brings flair to its uplifting DJ sets, mixing a wide array of music like trance, house and disco in a way that is bound to make you dance.

For this mix, he has brought a variety of tunes spanning between the tribal rhythms of techno, while flowing into the hypnotic rhythms of trance and progressive sounds. Just what the doctor ordered for sweaty night out in the summer time!

For the next mix in our podcast series, we welcome a special mix from DJ City live at Gegen, Pornceptual, RSO, Berlin. 

'Johan originally hailing from Stockholm, now residing in Berlin is known for long eclectic DJ sets, effortlessly moving within the various shapes of house, disco & techno. Holding down a residency at the infamous Cocktail D‘Amore party series, he’s become an integral part of the Berlin scene. 

With his musical productions he‘s been equally versatile. Since his debut on Public Possession in 2019 he found a temporary sweet spot in what could vaguely be described as vocal house, but in fact is much more, taking influences from EBM, Italo and electro clash all tied together by his deep, poetic, tongue in cheek lyrics. 

His songs dealing with love, sex, beliefs & life in a modern metropolis are quite likely being cued up world wide by the likes of Gerd Janson, Jennifer Cardini, Perel, Sedef Adasi and Seth Troxler"

The start of the year is always tough and with rekordbox struggles, Johan drifts us  back to the night of New Years Day where he played on day 2 of 4 at Berlin's RSO night club for Gegen and Pornceptual, who had joined forces to celebrate the New Year. 

In the words of Johan. "I played the penthouse floor which was like a secret little chalet hidden in the attic in one of the former factory buildings. I played my music surrounded by dancers and queer monsters and gods that made me feel both lost and right at home at the same time, just how the night should feel!"

Esa is a producer, musician and DJ who has never been one to sit still. He is always working on something exciting and seems to draw strength from collaboration and the creativity of others as much as he does himself. Over the years he has released music on the likes of Highlife, Local Talk, Dekmantel, Bronswood, Endless Flight and many more – his sound evolving based upon his external influences and discoveries of late.

Based in London, he is incredibly well travelled and has worked alongside a number of musicians and bands, seeking to broaden his musical horizons and draw upon the roots of the sound and cultures which have informed his tastes.

As a DJ Esa is well versed, honing his craft on dancefloors in Glasgow where he held his first residency at the infamous Subculture. It is here that this mixtape was recorded, his return to the party earlier this year was a triumphant tour de force showcasing just how far Esa has come as an artist.

This mixtape spans a wide variety of styles and sounds but most importantly is destined to keep you moving and dancing throughout. Sometimes live sets don’t make much sense out of context, yet in this case there is something special captured in the sound which makes you feel like you are right down the front banging that old Sub Club booth.

Brooklyn house music veteran Kyle Louis returns to Working Rhythms with the lush 2-tracker ‘You’re So (Cool) / Move,’ his first solo release since 2023 that follows his recent collab single “Distant Shores” with D.D. Curry and Panooc. The A-side is a laid back but ultra funky vibe-setter, driven by a chugging synth bass line, fun slappy drums, and a cheeky vocal sample. On the flip is “Move” that features Kyle’s own shimmering, FX-laden piano hook over a classic jackin’ groove, a filter house-influenced roller that recalls sounds of the Crydamoure label.

Louis is no stranger to crafting crowd-inspiring tracks and irresistible edits, having cut his teeth as co-founder and resident of NYC’s now-defunct party Little Disco, an event series that featured top names in the scene and made waves in the city’s underground during the mid twenty-teens.
