And then there's Jerry :))) I feel so blessed and fortunate to have made music with these legends

Fritto Misto features Vi Wickam on Violin/Fiddle and Daniel Delaney on Cello. Because both of them play many instruments, you may find one of them on Guitar, Mandolin, Viola, or even Tenor Banjo.

They play a mixture of music that you love, integrating the world of Classical, Traditional Fiddle music, and Pop tunes from the 1940's to today. Their repartee and engaging performance style will leave you wondering when you will get to hear them again.

The name, Fritto Misto, was inspired by the popular Italian dish. When Vi, and his wife Christina, visited Italy in 2018 they noted that every restaurant offered Fritto Misto and that the ingredients in every Fritto Misto were unique. They would mix the best local ingredients and fry them up, because what's better than that!

Fritto Misto pulls together influences from all over time, and the world to create unique and beautiful music that you are sure to love.

a couple of days before making the album, I learned the arrangement from A 1973 Grand Masters video (yes, I said video) of Major Franklin during the competition - made it extra special to record this number with his sons!

Vi Wickam – often known as Vi the Fiddler – is a champion fiddler and inspired performer who brings his full energy to every performance. He is a champion of music’s power to improve and enrich our lives in tangible ways, and infuses that goal into every project and performance.

Drawing from styles such as bluegrass, jazz, rock, old-time fiddle, and classical music, Vi regularly performs as both a solo artist and as a member of several prominent groups, including Vi Wickam and The Band, The Whiskey Chickens, Fritto Misto, and Fiddle Whamdiddle, whose 2014 album Old School Old Time and 2016 album Not My Monkey were on the Grammy Ballot. In 2018, Vi had 2 albums that made it into the top 5 on the Folk DJ Radio Chart: Armadillo on a Hot Tin Roof was #4 in April, and ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas was #5 in December.

A four-time Colorado State Fiddling Champion, finalist at the Grand Masters’ Fiddler Championship, and Runner Up in the National Fiddle Contest, Vi also maintains an active schedule as a live performer and instructor. He teaches regularly at workshops and camps around the US, and is a founder of myTalentForge.com, an online music school.
