Doc Martin was the headliner of the very first event I attended, which helped paved the way to a lifetime of love for house music. To say it was an honor to open for him over 25 years later is a serious understatement!

- BBC Music Live was originally broadcast on BBC 6 Music & 1Xtra, hosted by Craig Charles & Rodney P.
- Both those gigs and the Montreux Jazz Festival show took place in 2004, during the Upwards tour.
- The live band included Eska, Sewuese, Phillip Harper & Richard Spaven, amongst others.
- Labels that released Ty’s work included Big Dada, BBE, Tru Thoughts, Jazz:Refreshed & a skit for First Word.

Founded in early 1998, the goal was to consistently put out records that would be loved and played by many in the house music community. Viva Recordings found success with its first debut from Johnny Fiasco and the with Rick Preston's Altruism EP, which gained notoriety when "Spring Fling" was featured on Mark Farina's San Francisco Sessions Vol.1. From these early releases the road was paved for Viva Recordings' success. Over the last few years we have been working on personal projects but now have decided to bring the label back and take the Viva name back.
