Founded in early 1998, the goal was to consistently put out records that would be loved and played by many in the house music community. Viva Recordings found success with its first debut from Johnny Fiasco and the with Rick Preston's Altruism EP, which gained notoriety when "Spring Fling" was featured on Mark Farina's San Francisco Sessions Vol.1. From these early releases the road was paved for Viva Recordings' success. Over the last few years we have been working on personal projects but now have decided to bring the label back and take the Viva name back. Fantum is not stranger to the house and techno music scene. Cutting his teeth back in 1989-90 in the Dallas house music scene he quickly became a addict of the music. In 1991 he began producing and Djing along side his friend Luan Dao. He later teamed up with the members of Got House and became one of the resident DJ's at Minc, Whiskey Bar, and The Pharmacy to name a few. He has played along side some of the biggest name in House music including long time roommate Demarkus Lewis, along with opening set for house and techno legends such as Glen Underground, Lady D, Greg Watton, Dahota, Brett Johnson, JT Donaldson, Boo Williams, Mystic Bill, Sam Malone, Camle Phat and events such as SXSW. After joining the Our House crew he began to focus more on his music production. In the coming years he would release tracks on Grin Music, Guest House, Audiophile, and Casa De Disco compilation. His focus for production has shifted to a more basic tech-house sound and will be releasing tracks in the coming summer of 2018.

Stu originally got started on 88.1 FM WMUC College Park from 1997-2001 playing funk, soul, disco & underground dance music.  Since then he has been on an intergalactic voyage finding all sorts of booty shakin' beats to drop in mixes ranging from house/techno/trance to hip-hop/rap/rare groove.  Can you dig it?
