Founded in early 1998, the goal was to consistently put out records that would be loved and played by many in the house music community. Viva Recordings found success with its first debut from Johnny Fiasco and the with Rick Preston's Altruism EP, which gained notoriety when "Spring Fling" was featured on Mark Farina's San Francisco Sessions Vol.1. From these early releases the road was paved for Viva Recordings' success. Over the last few years we have been working on personal projects but now have decided to bring the label back and take the Viva name back. Jen Woolfe makes dance floors sticky across the West Coast. Tasty tech house teased with pop and hip hop, her sounds are deep, dirty and a little tongue-in-cheek. Ms. Woolfe began her DJ career after realizing her favorite spot on the dance floor was next to the DJ booth, watching the hands of every Deep and Tech House DJ to visit her hometown of Seattle. Her desire to bring together diverse communities under one groove has helped her to be one of the most loved and devoted DJ's on the West Coast. 

Jen has published tracks with ONE7AUDIO (LA), Uniting Souls Music (Seattle), Looq Records (SF) and and Get Up Recordings (NY) and has DJ'd at venues across the U.S., including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, Reno, Vancouver B.C., Salt Lake City, Boston, Boise, Colorado, Moab & Black Rock City.

Simpa has been behind the decks since 1993, starting his journey in the underground scene of Salt Lake City, Utah. House music was his first passion, shaped by early influences like Mark E Quark, Myxlplix, and the Wicked Crew SF. Over the years, his musical exploration took him through Goa trance and Drum and Bass, which has remained his primary musical focus since the early 2000s.

Relocating to San Francisco in 2000, and later to Santa Cruz, Portland, and Seattle, Simpa's sound evolved alongside his travels. After taking a break to raise a family, he returned to the scene with renewed energy, earning a prominent place within Seattle’s DnB community. He quickly became a fixture at the longest-running DnB weekly in the U.S., and has shared the stage with heavyweights like Calibre, Spectrasoul, Bachelors of Science, Ben Soundscape, Quadrant, Iris, Kid Hops, Homemade Weapons, and Dara.

During the COVID era, Simpa rediscovered his roots in House music, and has since been lighting up Seattle’s dancefloors with his dynamic sets, blending the best of both worlds. Whether it’s the driving rhythms of DnB or the soulful grooves of House, Simpa’s sets promise a journey of sound that reflects decades of experience and passion.
