Deiseil Agus Deònach

The title is Scottish Gaelic for 'ferry boat'.
I spent my early childhood on the Isle of Arran, and have fond memories of sailing towards the Isle, with the peaks of the mountain range looming in the distance.

Artwork is a drawing of me and my brother by my Mum.

Mixed and arranged on a Behringer Desk. Recorded in one take on Audacity.

Lovely, sunny day so bees and other bugs got busy. I placed my self-made dummy head #treeears with PUI AOM 5024s among flowers in my garden.

Sionnach=Fox in Scottish Gaelic.

Sionnach

A log, a pair of silicone ears, a box with XLR connectors, two PUI AOM 5024, alittle bit of routing, some filing and a dummy head for binaural recordings was made.
6500 times less expensive than Neumann KU 100 but not so much worse. Not perfecly made? Yes, and?

The recording was made in my garden. No editing, raw file, straight from recorder. I only raised gain by 9 dB.
Low frequency hum it is a neighbour's lawn mower. At the end I walk around the mic so you can judge its efficiency.
