I am the Hardest original royalty artist ever!

I was ready for a new side project—one where I could amplify other people’s great ideas and help them build a better world.

 So what did I have to offer? 

I have almost 20 years’ experience as a university librarian (now dean) inspiring classrooms of hungover freshmen at 9 AM to care about avoiding plagiarism and analyzing peer-reviewed research. 

I have a microphone gathering dust on the corner of my desk after a decade of weekly music and leadership podcast hosting, editing and production left me pretty experienced behind the mic and at the controls of my DAW. 

(Unfortunately it also left me pretty tired of the content creation grind.)

I have a mild addition to nonfiction of all types, from science to spirituality and back.

(Hence the career in academic libraries. )

So here I am, breathing life into books with the kinds of ideas and stories that can leave the world a little better than I found it. Check out my samples below to find out if I might be a fit for your project.

Geoff is about making the abnormal, sound normal. His work uncompromisingly explores the whole range of human emotion. Frequently experimenting with odd grooves, overlapping melodies, and haunting yet optimistic ambience, his work is sure to take you on a unique journey. Influenced by genre pushing artists such as Between the Buried and Me, The Contortionist, and Opeth he has grown his musical toolbox and developed a focussed and genuine artistic expression.

He has been heavily involved in the metal and music scene since his early teens. Hailing from London Ontario he gathered inspiration from the rich underground metal scene. After moving to Toronto, he further developed his musical palette experimenting with other genres and now considers himself simply a lover of good music. 

He has worked as a multi instrumentalist, producer, and composer in multiple progressive metal inspired bands. He believes the ability of metal to cover so much emotional ground is what makes it so special.
