Why floppy : the sound is rather disgusting on it (1.44mo) but well... Nothing is obsolete as long as it is still usable... We wanted a nice physical support without creating new plastic or vinyl objects. Only second hand floppy disks, hand-customized by us. 0 carbon emission. All the money donated to anti-advertising actions. It won't prevent us from buying followers to sell them "en masse".

Music for commercials is a label dedicated to environmental preservation. All profits are donated to associations for the protection of the environment and anti-advertising actions.

The label promotes diverse and open aesthetics, from noise, to IDM (Idiocratic Dance music) and destructured pop.

From an ecological point of view, our releases take place on floppy disks (these floppy disks are second hand). The race for innovation can make us lose the sense of our priority. We prefer to use obsolete material to make useful and usable work of art. Nothing is obsolete as long as it is still usable.
 
Our floppy disks each contain one track from our first Various :

Arkada records is happy to present the 30th episode of our podcast series this month with a very special Live set from one of our upcoming artists, the well respected Italian producer and Co-founder of Brainstormlab - JFrank.
We are very excited to welcome our dear friend Julien Frank and present to our followers his amazing music with this very unique Live set he made especially for us.
A one of a kind artist that we are so happy to know and honoured to have the opportunity and be one of the Labels to release his stunning and energy driving Electro/Glitch music production.
Coming soon is our 3th Arkada release a forthcoming split vinyl EP featuring the sounds of JFrank and Phausis.
We want thank Julien for taking the time and creating this amazing Live set for us 

Bio:
Co-founder and Generalissimo at brainstormlab, and master General at Distant Future with well over 10 years of live gigs under his belt, JFrank is well known for his late night dancefloor breaks and has played everywhere from the arthouse to the doghouse – London warehouses and Berlin basements to Spanish squats and Roman ruins – with his special brand of space-age electronics. Along with a broad portfolio of releases, he currently has vinyl out on Pyramid Transmissions, Kaer'Uiks and The Irrational Media Society.
