Both coming from the emerging @phonovisioncologne crew, @arnocologne and Various Identities have been storming clubs in Germany, and now they bring their infamous B2B to our DETECT series. 

The duo are known for their vinyl-only sets that focus on 1990s - 2000s progressive tribal and trance, 0effortlessly blending back and forth between the two.

After meeting at @schabernackmuc's Festival, I invited her on the show for her keen ear for 90s trance classic and recently produced heaters. First hour by me, with everything I’ve been digging lately on the trance side of things and second up is AZIL with an on-point selection of trancy-dancy hits.

With the VOI 030 — »Sense«, the project Z.I.P.P.O (@zpakazippo) enters a new sphere within its own sound direction. This release is characterized by IDM texture work, glitchy percussion and drum patterns, that find their room within deep atmospheric spaces and carefully placed delay programming. Certainly, recognizable is Maffei’s eclectic taste for more complex electronic bits, which are also known from his more demanding DJ sets. »Sense« brings together different factettes of his nicely equipped studio arrangement, as you get to hear a range of grainy saturated hardware synthesis to innovative and more complex sound design. The sound of this record combines a bit of everything while keeping its very own character. If you like to give it a name, then it might feel like Aphex Twin meets Doppler Effekt and Pan Sonic.
