Hot Creations welcomes Uzbekistan talent Trace to the mix for his deep grooving ‘Fake Friends’. 

Fresh from releases on Nervous Records, North Of Neptune, and Criterio Records, Trace continues to make a mark as a promising up-and-coming artist in the electronic music sphere. His breakthrough came last year with ‘Taka Doom’, released on Cloonee’s Hellbent Records, earning him a spot in the Beatport Top 10 and garnering huge support from luminaries such as Solomun, Fisher, Marco Carola, and more. Now, the Uzbekistani DJ/producer lands his debut on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations with ‘Fake Friends’, adding another impressive label to his growing catalogue.

“Last year, I released ‘Taka Doom’ and managed to combine the groove with the vocal sample nicely. With this record, I decided to do the same but with a totally fresh and different vibe. I think that the result is pretty good!” - Trace. 

Launching with crisp percussion, 'Fake Friends’ unleashes a cascade of bumping bass licks amid tumbling sonics. The track's rhythmic precision and contagious groove seamlessly meld beneath the deep, infectious male vocals, embodying the dancefloors vibrant pulse.

Will Clarke debuts on Trick this November with ‘Let’s Rave EP’, featuring Daddy Dino and remixes from new talents Ammara and Meg Ward. Will Clarke’s catalogue has marked him out as one of house music’s hottest names in recent times, with releases for Kneaded Pains, We Are The Brave, Drumcode, and of course his own All We Have Is Now all causing huge damage on dance floors and sales charts. Here, on Patrick Topping’s increasingly essential Trick imprint, Will Clarke dives in with the aptly titled synths-and-stabs driven ‘Let’s Rave’ before teeing up the first of two collabs with Trick mainstay, Staten Island’s Daddy Dino. ‘Negativity (feat. Daddy Dino)’, one of the hardest tracks to grace Trick to date, is a thundering techno number punctuated with anxiety-inducing builds and Dino’s pitched down vocals, while ‘Die With Me On This Dancefloor (feat. Daddy Dino)’ takes a trippier, groove-based vibe and features one of the years most infectious hooks from Dino. ‘Let’s Rave EP’ is rounded off with a set of quality remixes from two relative newcomers, Ammara and Meg Ward. London’s Ammara twists ‘Let’s Rave’ into a no-messing acid assault that displays her love of seriously big sounding tracks while Newcastle’s Meg Ward uses the 303 to take things in a slightly deeper yet no less heavy direction.

Australian producer Mark Maxwell kicks off 2021 creating an intricate soundscape with his release ‘You Beside Me’, out now on Club Sweat. The house record’s driving bassline, pulsing pace and powerful lyricism depicts a sense of loyalty and togetherness relevant for both an underground dance floor and an intimate adventure. ‘You Beside Me’ is Mark Maxwell’s ode to those nights out that got the heart rate pumping, and the memories and connections those experiences forged. 

Mark recalls the fevered nights out that provided the inspiration behind ‘You Beside Me’, saying, “We all did stupid stuff when we were teenagers. My mates and I broke into abandoned buildings, trawled through tunnels, and climbed bridges at 2am. One night we were sprinting away after setting off the security alarm in an old, empty power station. There were three of us, pushing each other up over fences and shouting to make sure we all got back to the car unscathed. I’d never run so fast and even after tripping over, my best mate was there to grab me by the back of my shirt and get me back onto my feet. I wanted to capture the pulsing pace of nights like this. Those nights that widened the eyes and got the heart racing. Those nights that you could only laugh about when we were all safe back in the car. ‘You Beside Me’ is all about just that, frantic heart rates and loyal best mates.”
