Flavio aka CRØWN, born in 1996, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He resides in  Capital Federal.

Bleak Narrative

I’m originally from Brazil and started to attend techno parties when I was living in Budapest a few years ago, and it was there that I met people from the scene, fell in love with the music and obviously started to play a little bit with the idea of becoming a DJ. A few trips to Berlin consolidated that idea. In late 2020, during the pandemic, I co-founded the queer borderless platform Bleak Narrative with the lovely Whattis (who collaborated with nexus last year!). We were just a baby collective back then, and we’ve come a long way, releasing mixes, publishing articles and arts, and finally getting oﬄine and creating a club night in Berlin. The second one is happening in April by the way, follow us on Instagram for more information!

I’m still in Brazil for now but planning to go back to Europe, so for now I’m digging a lot of new music, making mixes, and getting better at DJing (I hope so). I have a soft spot for slow, trippy and sexy techno with a couple “wink wink” tracks thrown in the shuﬄe. That’s kind of my formula, but I’ve done other genres such as House and Electro and the results were positive. For this one I was obviously did a techno mix. At 140BPM (which is actually higher than my usual go-to BPM), I chose some trippy tracks that I was dying to use, with some breaks and strong bass lines, as well as some vocals here and there.

On the July 1st, Blocaus series will release 'Era Novum', 15 tracks compilation featuring Adriana Lopez, AWB, Blue Hour, Burden, Clotur, Espen Lauritzen, Function, Javier Bähr, Keikari, Landwehr & Fleer, Oscar Mulero, Peter Van Hoesen, Surgeon, Thomas Hessler, Vith. A long list of artists that contribute to our scene, familiar names including rising talents and true techno legends. Era Novum’s sound oscillates between of variety of styles, a wide musical spectrum varying from ambient, deep, hypnotic to raw straightforward techno tracks. 15 transcendent and effective cuts with a different approach in mind making this compilation a truly musical experience. Era Novum, a latin name meant new area after the chaos wrought by the coronavirus pandemic, we are on the cusp of a new era. All profits will be donated to UNICEF France who protect and support children and families affected by COVID-19. Blocaus series is planning to continue with this project, each compilation will promote new talents with the contribution of etablished artists, and also raise fund and awareness for a cause.

@Benales has been honing his craft since the end of the 90s. 

As an avid record collector, vinyl only DJ and enthusiast of Techno and House – his DJ sets and tracks combine the raw, dark and deep elements of these musical forms with a firm nod in the direction of Detroit. 

His talent allows him to put himself in many clubs in Europe like Tresor, Rex Club, Le sucre, The Gate (Georgia) but also as a regular guest of Concrete when it’s not rare to find Benales surrounded by guest of solid reputation like DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bicknell, Dj Pete, James Ruskin. 

Fascinated by Techno and coldness of electronic music, he released some EP’s and remixes on Sino (Technasia's label), and notably “Elements part 1 & part 2” have marked his spot in the international scene. 

Over the years, he had several releases on outstanding labels like Suburban Avenue, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, @diffusereality, @keyvinyl, and many more to follow.

Voodoo Ray is a Belgian based DJ and Producer.

Born in Leuven and currently residing in the region of Ghent, he has been following the electronic music scene from the late 80's, playing his first parties in the mid 90's to only recently taking his first steps in music production during the lockdowns of the Covid pandemic. 

While appreciating a broad range of genres, he favors the most a raw and hypnotic style of Techno, sometimes minimal or even tribal oriented with regularly an ominous or melancholic touch without losing sight of the dance-floor friendliness of the tracks he is playing.

With his sets he will try to let his audience loose themselves on the dancefloor.
