The early 2010s were an extended annus mirabillis for heavy-hitter Sébastien Michel, whose release of megahit ‘Mixtion’ was just the start of a trajectory that followed the shedding of his former skin as half of Daxyl and saw him pursue a more streamlined and emphatic vision of the techno future under his UVB pseudonym. Back in a time when he was hell-bent and producing up to three tracks a day, his early excursions into clubland were distinguished by sets forged exclusively from his own work; that gamut is a little broader nowadays but clearly no less exciting and personal. For the latest instalment of Bassiani Podcast series, he packs those years of toil into a succinct and aggressive strike, hedonic yet disciplined, the type of masterful studio mix you’d expect from the Body Theory label boss.
