It is with a feverish excitement that we can finally announce the next EP in our catalog from our newest addition to the Second State family: Amelie Lens. Besides being quite a multi-talented virtuoso, the Belgian artist comes in hot and heavy for her debut release ‘Let It Go’ and with it showcases her prowess for dark, cutting-edge techno. Over the span of four tracks Lens takes us on a tour-de-force journey into the cerebral spaces of large, dark rooms and flashing strobe lights. Kicking things off is the hypnotically inducing 'Wild' with looping vocals laid over an ever increasing pressure of percussion and white noise. Much like the EP opener, 'Linger On' casts the same spell yet picks up the pace with racing snares and meteoric synth washes creating a deeply euphoric ride. The title track ’Let It Go' is up next and is by far the most 'cheeky' tune of the EP with a twisted acid line swirling around the constant begging of Lens’ voice encouraging you to "Let It Go, Let It Out". Rounding out the EP is 'The Finest Hour' and Lens wraps up her debut with the most psychedelic cut of the package. Low rumbling bass tones and spaced out pads over sparse drums leave lots of room for the imagination providing each listener to create their own journey to navigate. If this is Amelie Lens' debut with us, we expect a lot of very big things to come from the young Belgian and so should you. Welcome Amelie Lens!

On August 22nd Rebekah returns to the fold with her second EP on Soma, following her 2015 debut ‘Confined Heart’. Staying true to her UK techno roots, the Berlin based artist delivers three monster cuts that exemplify her ferocious sound.

Title track ‘Anxiety’ has Rebekah firing on all cylinders as raucous synth sequences pulse through wild percussion, never seeming to let up and certainly taking no prisoners. ‘The Riddle’ continues with similar energy levels as Rebekah infuses pounding rhythms with straight up percussive elements, before taking a perfectly controlled dive into deeper elements - comprising short blasts of subtle pads that give a more emotive side to the track. ‘19 Grams’ rounds of the EP with a little more subdued start, but in true Rebekah fashion, the pace quickly intensifies as shattering hi hats and saw tooth sequences blast in, effortlessly held together by beautifully gliding pads that give a perfect structure. 

Rebekah delivers yet another excellently crafted EP that defines her sound as a producer and also a DJ.

Sander - "Ararat"  for  RAMBALKOSHE

...the interesting part is that the first time when we listened to one of Mike's sets at Rambalkoshe, the name "Rambalkoshe" itself was just developed, and we were sitting trying to design the logo. And we didn't plan to listen to that exact set, or to any other sets by @mikehaddad, it was just a random set that appeared in the stream of our soundcloud. But when it ended, we replayed it one more time, then another, and it found its permanent place in our playlist. So, when we recently launched our soundcloud page, Mike, of course, was one of the first ones whom we invited to collaborate, and what's most important, is that even without knowing all this story behind, he felt the connection and gave his agreement to collaborate at once. Now, at Rambalkoshe, we can listen to this special set mixed by Mike for us.

p.s. Neshama (נשמה‎) is a Hebrew word which can mean "soul" or "spirit"

Music, meanwhile, has the power to easily and beautifully communicate to Seattle-based @samahaofficial what Rambalkoshe is all about, so that Anthony makes our April so emotional and colorful. We couldn’t have said better than John Denver once did: “Music does bring people together. It allows us to experience the same emotions. People everywhere are the same in heart and spirit. No matter what language we speak, what color we are, the form of our politics or the expression of our love and our faith, music proves we are the same.”

SAMAHA - "Maverick" for RAMBALKOSHE

For the fourth edition of KHIDI Podcast, we invite our resident artist Phase Fatale. Originally from New York, Hayden Payne has moved to Berlin and since 2013 has been at the forefront of industrial techno scene. Over the last few years, he released music on many renowned platforms, such as aufnahme + wiedergabe, Hospital Productions, Jealous God, Unterton among others. In 2018, he co-founded the label BITE, designed to present other artists who operate beyond the borders of the common preconceptions of techno. A collaborative EP between Phase Fatale and Silent Servant kickstarts the label.
In the mix, he once again underlines main influences of the project and does so by using the latest tracks from Ancient Methods, Vatican Shadow, Silent Servant, himself and other flag-bearers of the modern-day industrial scene.

Voxnox Records mainstay and A&R Sept returns home for VN034.

A1) Sept opens up the EP with the forceful „Challenge'. Showcasing Sept's trademark saturated, analog sound, „Challenge' combines rolling percussion with eerie soundscaping and a haunting vocal. A true peak time weapon, this track is sure to set all systems alight. 

A2) On „Challenge' remix duties is longtime collaborator and friend, Violent. Drawing on the atmosphere of the original, Violent delivers a hard hitting, stomping techno banger that will find a lot of favour with those at the harder end of the spectrum.

B1) Opening up the B-side is a further Sept original, „Six Doors'. Employing his excellent use of soundscaping, „Six Doors' is a measured stepper with undeniable UK influences. One for the deeper hours of the night. 

B2) Closing off the originals on the EP is „Astral Spirits'. Aptly named, this ambient piece clearly displays Sept's excellent production skills. Dark, eerie soundscapes and twitchy percussion make this an intoxicating and disturbing piece.

B3) For the final track on the EP, Voxnox Records is delighted to welcome Headless Horseman. Known for his exceptional and unique production style, the Horseman is surely one of techno's greatest talents. Headless Horseman delivers a tough, remix that builds perfectly on the atmosphere of the original whilst showcasing his trademark galloping groove. Not to be missed.

Ask yourself: can you describe what your morning will be like tomorrow? Not just the part when you, say, wake up, brush your teeth and go about your business. That’s not really describing, that’s just listing or rather predicting your morning routine. Just try to describe your morning: what will you first silhouette in the darkness? How will the sun show up and in what colors will the clouds be lit up that day? Which parts will receive the first rays of the new rising sun and how will your body start to feel the warmth? When will the curtains let in natural light and start moving slowly themselves? Describing something you have yet to see is a bit hard, obviously, but @Powel has somehow managed to do that. His podcast is about all the mornings we have lived and all those we are yet to live. All of them. Without exception.

P.S. Cyberiada [sɪber’jada] is the name of a series of satirical-philosophical stories by Polish author Stanislaw Lem. The word "Cyberiadа" - which is the name of a woman - is mentioned in the entire series only once.
