Very nice. I love the leaf in winter wind metaphor. My Grandad's poetry got me laser focused to seasonal death of other life. When he wrote about seasonal change he dug in deep on the appreciation for some life never making it through a season like winter .. or struggling to get through a night without the light. It was very nice to absorb that from him and I think that can give us a nice simple frame of reference... We can get through the seasons even if they are hard. Loads of love 🫶🏽🔆

The idea for this song came to me randomly while driving down some backroad a few years back, and I recorded the initial idea spur of the moment. For whatever reason, the rather morbid theme came out in the process and I just went with it. Nat is a daring soul and surprisingly encouraged that we record it and with her considerable help we fashioned this recording. Notable is that Nat has taken on the ability to add some beautiful pedal steel guitar throughout the song using her well established keyboard skills and this first run at it was very satisfying.
