At long last, German black metal tyrants ASCENSION unveil their highly anticipated second album, The Dead of the World. Previewed by the Deathless Light EP, ASCENSION's The Dead of the World is a grandiose work of bold creativity and boundless imagination, of brilliant illumination and obsidian depth, all under the banner of orthodox black metal. The band's debut album, 2010's Consolamentum, became a classic in the underground not long after its release; it evinced a wealth of maturity in composition and execution for such a new band. Here, the quintet eclipse that accomplishment with a seven-song salvo that's the epitome of Album Experience. Every part is where it needs to be; every song flows from the other; there is a whole, and it is a black HOLE. From its innermost depths, ASCENSION drive onward and outward, their control of dynamics startling for mere "black metal," their passion, fervor, and professionalism far beyond those who supposedly uphold that genre. Joining ASCENSION in their peerless endeavor here are The Magus (Necromantia, Thou Art Lord, Principality of Hell) and Mors Dalos Ra (Necros Christos), who both respectively provide guest vocals on The Dead of the World. Black metal may be dead for all intents and purposes, but not for ASCENSION, for they show you The Dead of the World.

Philadelphia’s hypergrind violators, DIE CHOKING, will release their debut full-length LP, III, through The Compound Recs late this Summer, as the band begins their most rigorous tour schedule to date.
 
III was recorded in April with Will Yip at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania (Lauryn Hill, Circa Survive, Blacklisted) capturing DIE CHOKING’s most intense material yet with absolutely superior sound and production, the band then sanctioning Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Integrity, From Ashes Rise, Nails) for its mastering. With seemingly implausible heaviness delivered at an absolutely unstoppable velocity, the eleven tracks on III deliver even faster BPM-rates and more complicated arrangements than the band’s prior releases, the new material merging more elements of hardcore punk and crust with their blinding speed/grind metal. Socio-political topics as intense as the music itself permeate each blazing anthem, which continue the ongoing theme carrying through from their smoldering self-titled debut and subsequent II 7” releases, with tracks XI through XXI. The impending debut LP from Philly’s most unhinged act promises to be one of the most violent, high-speed releases of 2015.
 
DIE CHOKING will partner with The Compound, the underworld label faction of Earsplit, for the release of III, as with both of their prior 7” EPs. The album will be issued in September on all digital platforms as well as three color variations of 180-gram colored LP with exclusive colors and merch bundle packages.

DIE CHOKING "The Prince Of Population"

Always the vanguard of purist-yet-boundless black metal, W.T.C. PRODUCTIONS is proud to present the debut album of SHRINE OF INSANABILIS, Disciples of the Void. Although literally emerging from nothingness earlier this year, SHRINE OF INSANABILIS are no mere acolytes, instead evincing a master's knowledge across their debut album. Never more aptly titled, Disciples of the Void comprises six testimonies to the fiery aspiration for enlightenment through inconceivable nothingness. These testimonies are also manifested into this world by their corresponding sigils. SHRINE OF INSANABILIS vividly portray these visions through a heaving mass of obsidian black metal, forever rising and falling, surging and merging, offering glimpses of glory and valleys of despair in equal measure. Like most W.T.C. PRODUCTIONS, Disciples of the Void is impeccably recorded - bold, full-bodied, even Technicolor - with mixing & mastering done by Patrick Engel at Temple of Disharmony, and finished off with David Glomba (Teitanarts) cover art truly deserving of its malefic contents. Blinding darkness, unbearable silence, and incureable madness, all displayed for everyone to experience: this is a raging beginning on a path through the Void.
