W.T.C. PRODUCTIONS is proud to present MEDICO PESTE's highly anticipated new mini-album, Herzogian Darkness. Ever aptly titled, Herzogian Darkness is a shadowy plunge into strange, shapeshifting depths. It is recognizably black metal by sound and vision - and, more or less, by name - but the febrile sensations these mysterious Poles emit elude safe 'n' staid categorization. Not for nothing do MEDICO PESTE here transform Bauhaus' classic "Stigmata Martyr" into one of their own, idiosyncratic creations.

MEDICO PESTE's history goes back to the winter of 2010, when they formed in Krakow, Poland. A demo followed the next year before their debut album, א: Tremendum et Fascinatio, in 2012. There, MEDICO PESTE portrayed a vision of black metal which incorporates dark and oppressive atmospheres, created through dysharmonic riffing, eerie vocals, and a taste for insanity and the macabre. And yet, the band's sound is always evolving, and while strongly rooted in traditional black metal, MEDICO PESTE inject elements of non-metal genres into their music, vividly painted across their brand-new Herzogian Darkness. Four songs in 27 minutes, these grim, crazed rituals are the newest face to a mask that is cracked but always spinning sinister thoughts, leering with the knowingness that the future's wide open yet infinitely bleak - that a Herzogian Darkness is on the horizon.

Album Info: W.T.C. Productions sets October 31st as the international release date for Thy Darkened Shade's highly anticipated second album, Liber Lvcifer I: Khem Sedjet. Bolder and brasher than the Greeks' celebrated Eternvs Mos, Nex Ritvs debut, Liber Lvcifer I: Khem Sedjet is a sprawling and serpentine work, a daring and diabolical monument to the eternal light of esoteric illumination. At the core of Thy Darkened Shade's aesthetic is the band's profound and intensely studied lyricism. As the serpents of Eden, they are both the shining and the shadows, and consequently know the illusions of good and evil since they originate from the source: Or She-ein Bo Mahshavah, the solitary true light. Thy Darkened Shade are those few who have the wisdom to overcome, the sovereignty to become something evolved, in the forms and likeness of their gods. Across Liber Lvcifer I: Khem Sedjet's 78-minute runtime, many names are hailed, amongst them - Satan, Loki, Typhon, Set, Ahriman, Lucifer, Prometheus, Kingu - and the band explore myriad routes toward that burning, searing illumination. But as labyrinthine as Liber Lvcifer I: Khem Sedjet is and its pathways at times beguiling and treacherous, here black metal music serves a greater purpose: the Promethean mantras lead Thy Darkened Shade and the blood of Qayin binds them towards acausal freedom. "We possess everything we need to destroy all illusions; we are the children of Lucifer -  we shine in grandeur and might." HORNA should need no introduction. For over 20 years now, the Finnish black metal institution - founded by uber-prolific guitarist/songwriter Shatraug (SARGEIST, Behexen, et al) - have built a vast, virulent body of work beyond compare. Hailing the ancient ways, HORNA have always honored the underground with myriad EP and split releases. In the interim since their last album for W.T.C. PRODUCTIONS, 2013's critically acclaimed Askel lähempänä Saatanaa, the quintet have released two splits, with Den Saakaldte and Demonic Christ, and now arrives their highly anticipated ninth album, Hengen Tulet.

Their first album for W.T.C., Askel lähempänä Saatanaa served as a unique turning point in the HORNA canon. Not only was there a five-year gap between albums - almost an eternity in HORNA terms, considering their restless release schedule - but it was the first album to feature vocalist Spellgoth following the departure of longtime frontman Corvus. Although new to the HORNA camp, Spellgoth is a scene veteran, numbering Darkwoods My Betrothed, Black Death Ritual, and Prevalent Resistance among his resume, as well as classic session vocals for Baptism's Morbid Wings of Sathanas. With his arrival brought both a new and renewed focus to HORNA: Askel lähempänä Saatanaa brimmed with the ancient mysticism of the band's earliest work, and yet revealing new nightside shapes.

Now, with Hengen Tulet, HORNA continue to refine that approach, and yet bring back in the filthier textures of the Corvus years. Both sonicaly and songwriting-wise, Askel lähempänä Saatanaa was something of a throwback to mid '90s black metal classicism. By contrast, Hengen Tulet carries forward a similar songwriting aesthetic - surging 'n' swooshing speed, spiraling melody both majestic and malevolent - but reinvigorates a foul, fetid primitivism. It's still a supremely varied yet focused spin, compact (and caustic) as ever, but the headbanging, hard-charging tropes are surely a sign of HORNA's well-oiled machinery lately on the live front, where Spellgoth has cultivated no small amount of infamy for his penetrating performances.

The third glorious epoch of HORNA continues with Hengen Tulet, and yet further live assaults are planned for the rest of the year and next. (N.T.B.)

For the recent successes of technical death outfit ARCHSPIRE to come into fruition, certain variables must align. Talent, drive, creativitiy, and absolute dedication are only a few characteristics one may notice about the group, and indeed many have experienced the bi-product of these characteristics:

A tight live performance, where impressive speeds come grinding to a halt, and in even less time twist and contort into complex passages rife with beautiful harmonies, juxtaposed against insidious melodies. An attention to songwriting, focusing not only on technicality, but originality as well, take this sub genre and put it on it's ear. And the combination of musical backgrounds, which is apparent in much of ARCHSPIRE'S music, showing itself through catchy rhythms, interesting riffs and arrangements, and progressive passages.

Pushing boundaries of speed and endurance set only by the genre's top artists, while remaining accessible and interesting is no small feat. These Canadians have proven themselves worthy of touring and playing with bands like Origin, Decapitated, Hate Eternal, Abysmal Dawn, Vomitory, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Aborted.

When all the elements required align in such a way that they form something original, and interesting, it becomes a catalyst for something new... and in the case of ARCHSPIRE, All has indeed, Aligned.
