EX EL - a man motivated and motivating others by Maintaining a P.M.A - (Positive Mental Attitude)

Ex El, raised by a single mother on the South Side of Chicago who actively implored him on a daily basis to avoid the pitfalls of society and to work diligently with integrity and responsibility, has developed the mantra of maintaining a P.M.A or Positive Mental Attitude at all times in order to thrive and set himself up as a true example of manhood for his younger brother even though they are faced with witnessing numerous homicides, losing loved ones to a corrupt justice system, incarceration, and police brutality.

These circumstances led Ex El to explore his passion for music at an "extremely" young age of 6 years old to express lyrically a witnessing account of his day to day life through his music. Through this quest of music, Ex El became a master storyteller, able to embody the persona of the many characters he's come across through his music while maintaining a strong exemplary character for his younger brother by going to college and receiving his Bachelor's in Corporate Communications from Northern Illinois University.

Many accounts of such situations can be found throughout his 9 album catalog, which include the titles; Prophecy of a Poet" (14 tracks), "Muscle of Da Chi", (16 tracks), "Chicago Phyre Pt.1" (17 tracks), "Chicago Phyre Pt.2 (17 tracks), "Chicagolympics" (17 tracks), "Generation Ex (19 tracks), "Generation II Exx" (13 tracks), "Ex Files" (19 tracks), and "Ronald Trump (To Be Released Summer of 2017, with hit single "Money Problems).   He was heavily influenced by old school artists and funk legends such as Al Green, Bootsy Collins, Marvin Gaye, and Sly & The Family Stone. As he grew in age more recent influences include great hip-hop storytellers such as Tupac Shakur, Notorious BIG, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Nas, and Drake.
