I wrote this up-beat and modern instrumental entitled  "Journey of Life" for my two boys Falconer and Dawson.   The photo's employed in this music video document some of the places and trips that my wife Emma has planned for us as a family.  I hope they remember the good times in life, as it is certainly too short!

Living In The Future

A tribute to one of my closest friends Andy who passed last year from cancer. He left two beautiful daughters and his wonderful wife behind. 
Also a long lasting effect on me and I never got to tell him he really was one of my kings.
This is a raw live recording because that’s seems  more relevant to him coming from a punk background. 
I worked, socialised and shared some unbelievable memorable moments with Andy stretching over a 30 year period.
He was an original punk rocker in his younger days and played as a drummer in many different punk bands. Carried the tattoos of punk and that period carried him through the rest of his life. Very knowledgeable about music and cultures. 
He always got up behind the kit and blasted out at our soundchecks and when we were breaking down after the gig, he just couldn’t help himself. Always supported live new music and my band projects. 
Andy was one of the Co founders with me of underground music magazine Blag. Known as Andypunkrock to the readers.
I will never forget him and think about him everyday.
You don’t realise until certain people leave you how much it affects you. 
RIP Andy you were One Of My Kings.

MUSIC BIO FOR DR. WALLY J. BARTFAY
Dr. Wally Bartfay is currently a Professor and former Associate Dean for the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.  He is also affectionately known as the “Rock N’ Prof” by his students because he often plays original songs that he has written prior to the commence of lectures to create certain vibes and buzzes in his classes. His music has appeared on Euro Indie Music Chart lists top 5; World Indie Music Chart lists top 2; BWNR music list top 5, and the US Top 20 Show- Weekly Pulse of Music at No. 18.
I have been invited to appear on several radio stations, music podcasts, YouTube music channels and interviews with music magazines during the past year. Ever since Wally was a little lad, he wanted to play the electric guitar and make music that creates smiles on people’s faces. He can remember playing his imaginary electric "air guitar" in his parents’ basement to various rock and country songs for hours on end. He got his first guitar when he turned 14 after taking on various odds jobs including pumping gas on weekends and cutting lawns.  He quickly learned to play it on his very own, along with several other instruments. Wally has also done research related to the benefits of music therapy as a nonpharmacological intervention with patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.  He got interested in researching the clinical benefits of music as medicine after his father was diagnosed with vascular dementia following a series of strokes that left him bed bound in a nursing home.  Ironically, this is the same nursing home that he used to put on volunteer Christmas concerts for during his youth in his community. He is passionate about song writing and his songs often reflect personal experiences and challenges that he has faced over the years. Each song contains components of his genuine lived experiences, heart, and soul as an artist.
