And now for something completely different, Nat & I finally dare to delve into some areas we have always loved but didn’t jump into along the way. Classic folk and country seems at our roots and hard to deny as we’ve created our own sound with Daniels & Durgy. But As we yearn to express our vast musical interests we endeavored to find some way to create something that brought our diverse influences into being. So we took one of my simple folksy concepts and Nat’s production talents for building an infectious mid-eastern dancehall tapestry. We crafted something that paints the dreamy fantasy of a hot afternoon, taking the dreamer away to far off sandscapes and soaring sounds. This was a blast to create and opens a door we’ll not let close. We hope you will also enjoy it, come fly with us...

SHE'S THE BOSS FROM HELL tells the story of the worst boss to ever exist that was sent from Hell to torment you at work and make your life miserable.  You are forced to stay because you need the money to pay for bills, rent, food to feed your kids, etc.   The original radio version released in January of 2023 was produced by Stephen Wrench and Wayne Killius of Musik and Film in their Nashville, TN recording studio.  This song hit No. 9 on the Euro Indie Music Chart list on March 6, 2023; No. 12 on the World Indie Music Chart list on February 20, 2023, and No. 19 on the Bandwagon Network Radio (BWNR) list on March 11, 2023.

This song tells the story of a man reminiscing about about the good old days while listening to some old albums.  He wishes he could have 5 more minutes to go back in time and tell a special girl how he really felt about her.

MULBERRY HILL GAL tells the story of a guy who gave a country gal a lift one night on Mulberry Hill.  They got a talking and decided to go to a road side bar and both had a great connection and chemistry.  The guy is desperate to find hear and is combing Mulberry Hill to find her to profess his love for her.

Mulberry Hill Gal is an updated and reworked version of my very first song I ever wrote back in 1982.  I would like to dedicate this song to the memory of my dear friend Mr. Danny Arseneau who passed away on June 17, 2000 at the age of 38 years due to a tragic accident in his home.  Danny and I went to high school together in Chateauguay, Quebec and also attended Dawson College together for a while.  Danny later joined the Canadian Armed Forces.  
We would spend hours in our basements playing our guitars and "making noise" as our parents called it.  We actually entered my song and played it at a music talent show held at Dawson College.  It was very well received by the crowd of students and we actually won a prize for best original song.  What a great audience and time.  Hope you enjoy!

THERE'S A SPANISH TRAIN is perhaps the darkest and eeriest country-rock song ever written I would argue, because it tells the story of a ghost train that first travels east and then heads below carrying lost souls. Once you’re on board they won't let you go! My dad was a civil engineer with Canadian National Railway, designed many bridges, tunnels, stations, etc. Later in his career, he was involved with investigating deadly and tragic train accidents across Canada. A Spanish Train was lingo used by railway men for a doomed train that meet with a horrible accident and the loss of lives. This is context and inspiration for this song. I hope you enjoy. This song is dedicated to the memory of my father Valer S. Bartfay who passed away on Feb. 28, 2022.

a voice and such a special gift.  So many wonderful songs and so many were so beautifully orchestrated.  I tried to get a bit of orchestra feel with the limited resources I have.

This is a bit of a change from my last happy song , it's a tad sobering ! It's not an anti war song by any means , I know they do have to happen from time to time to when tyrants are involved , sometimes we have no choice and have to rid the world of a monster . But it's always a sad state of affairs and this song reflects that , I do hope you like it though ! On a happier note , me and Kim have a cracking song out on the 21st , and after that are two belting songs , one a tongue in cheek rocker with Axel Menningen , and a huge song with Gaz Brownie . MUSIC BIO FOR DR. WALLY J. BARTFAY
Dr. Wally Bartfay is a retired Professor and former Associate Dean (August, 2024) for the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.  He was also affectionately known as the “Rock N’ Prof” by his students because he often played original songs that he has written prior to the commence of lectures to create certain vibes and buzzes in his classes. His music has appeared on Euro Indie Music Chart lists top 1; World Indie Music Chart lists top 1 and 2; BWNR music list top 5, and the US Top 20 Show- Weekly Pulse of Music at No. 18. In 2024, he had 3 No. 1 Indie hits on the Euro Indie Network Music Charts and World Indie Top 100 Music Chart lists with collaborator Stephen Wrench: 1. You're My Beautiful; 2. Little Sunshine Girl and 3. Cherry Hill Gal.  Stephen has been a 6x Grammy Awardee and has won over 50 Gold and Platinum records throughout his career journey that spans 5 decades now.

Ever since Wally was a little lad, he wanted to play the electric guitar and make music that creates smiles on people’s faces. He can remember playing his imaginary electric "air guitar" in his parents’ basement to various rock and country songs for hours on end. He got his first guitar when he turned 14 after taking on various odds jobs including pumping gas on weekends and cutting lawns.  He quickly learned to play it on his very own, along with several other instruments. Wally has also done research related to the benefits of music therapy as a nonpharmacological intervention with patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.  He got interested in researching the clinical benefits of music as medicine after his father was diagnosed with vascular dementia following a series of strokes that left him bed bound in a nursing home.  Ironically, this is the same nursing home that he used to put on volunteer Christmas concerts for during his youth in his community. He is passionate about song writing and his songs often reflect personal experiences and challenges that he has faced over the years. Each song contains components of his genuine lived experiences, heart, and soul as an artist.
