I started producing Trans-Lunar Injection (https://soundcloud.com/petrus-major/trans-lunar-injection-travel) before learning of Jim Lovell's passing. The initial reference was simple: I was inspired by Kraftwerk's TransEurope Express (thanks to @fhauna for spotting this reference) and I wanted to travel through space :) hence the chosen theme and title. I finished the track after Lovell's passing.

The Apollo VIII epic had a huge impact on me, even though I was young at the time, as had those of Apollo XI and the others, of course. So my little dedication was sincerely necessary.

Then I wanted another version, more streamlined, and above all focused on the Apollo VIII mission with this extraordinary message sent from lunar orbit, including the reading of the first verses of the Book of Genesis by each crew member, on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1968, during a television broadcast: a magnificent event within the event! (I might come back to this later).

When I was younger I sometimes got depressed. I didn't know how to handle it. But as I got older I become more known with my mind and body, and learned how to deal with it in advance, recognize the signals that came first... And I got through  :)

When I first heard Wildsilences' original track, I immediately fell in love with it and knew I wanted to do something with it. 
I didn't really know what but when I was playing around with it I felt that I should stay close to the original and just add a little reverb and some atmospherical elements, as well as the piano/strings ending.
