When I first heard Wildsilences' original track, I immediately fell in love with it and knew I wanted to do something with it. 
I didn't really know what but when I was playing around with it I felt that I should stay close to the original and just add a little reverb and some atmospherical elements, as well as the piano/strings ending.

When my good friend Lisa asked me if I wanted to remix a song of hers, it only took me 0.1 seconds to choose "Home" - I have always been in love with the vocal melody. 

It's this vocal melody that still takes the center stage.. and I deliberately kept everything else as small as possible.

Skyline Tigers - Home (Wane of Summer remix)

Lisa wrote the original track some years ago, when the refugee crisis was at its peak. The beautiful melody and the words, from a Syrian mother's perspective, are truly touching, and I really wanted to do a piano take on it. 

I was happy to get to "go" from Lisa and we actually came up with the final part together while playing around with the song. As always Lisa has been a joy to work with!
