NAME: Jason Carter

HOMETOWN: Birmingham

DJ HISTORY: Jason began DJ`ing when he was 14 years old, establishing his sound locally - leading to a stint on the pirate radio station, "Exile FM" based in Dudley, UK. 

Jason started promoting the "Sound Factory" in 1993 to 1994 - playing darker edged US House imports and then moved on to promoting his own "Corrosive" nights in Walsall from 1995 and on to Birmingham until 1998 - pushing Deep House and Underground Techno. 
Jason`s adept turntable skills and quality record selections lead to international bookings overseas in the United States, visiting Boston, Philadelphia and Maine then Europe - taking in Berlin, Holland, Belgium and Spain. 

Jason took a break in 2010 and kicked back in around 2019 - now hosting his monthly show "In Session" on Electronic Convergence.

Jason currently puts on his "Below Ground" parties at Eastern Bloc in Manchester - with regulars Auto Sound City alongside guest appearances from Marcus Paulson, Ross Alexander, ReKab and his son, Marshall Carter.

INSPIRATION: Electronic Music - deeply rooted in the beginning's and progression of Chicago House and the evolutionary trajectory of Detroit Techno. 

PRODUCTIONS / RELEASES: Jason branched out in to production at the tail end of the 1990`s with long time partner Oliver Way (EPM Music) - they collaborated as Morpheus Productions.
