Three recordings, two of my own: shortwave static and rainstorm and one from contributor rfhache on freesound.org (https://freesound.org/people/rfhache/sounds/51372/) of a Honda Civic Si accelerating, are the only sound sources.

Various Euclidean rhythms, via the HY-RPE2 rhythm generator, are used to trigger several instances of Cableguys' ShaperBox 2 each with different patterns of filter, resonance and volume levels applied. There is a Valhalla DSP SuperMassive return track with a ShaperBox applying crush also triggered by the Euclidean rhythm. The shortwave recording is passed through three Ableton Live Spectral Resonators to create an Am chord with some Sinevibes Corrosion applied from time-to-time. This is blended with the original shortwave signal. The Civic Si recording is passed through a Devious Machines' Duck. In fairness, with the ShaperBoxes, there's quite a bit of ducking going on!

Joshua Hochschild is the Monsignor Robert R. Kline Professor of Philosophy at Mount St. Mary’s University, where he also served six years as the inaugural Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. His primary research is in medieval logic, metaphysics, and ethics, with broad interest in liberal education and the continuing relevance of the Catholic intellectual tradition. He is the author of The Semantics of Analogy: Rereading Cajetan’s De Nominum Analogia (2010), translator of Claude Panaccio’s Mental Language: From Plato to William of Ockham (2017), and co-author of A Mind at Peace: Reclaiming an Ordered Soul in the Age of Distraction (2017). His writing has appeared in First Things, Commonweal, Modern Age and the Wall Street Journal. For 2020-21 he’s been elected to serve as President of the American Catholic Philosophical Association.

About the Speaker:
Fr. Andrew Jordan Schmidt, OP, grew up in North Dakota and received a Bachelor's degree in English and East Asian Studies from St. John's University in Collegeville, MN in May 2002.  After serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural China, he entered the seminary, studying for the diocese of Bismarck at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis, MO from 2004-2006.  He joined the St. Joseph province of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) in the summer of 2006, and moved to Washington, DC to study at the Pontifical Faculty Immaculate Conception where he earned an STB and MDiv in 2009.  In the Fall of 2009, he entered the STL program in Biblical Theology at The Catholic University of America.  Upon completing his Licentiate degree in 2012, he was ordained a priest at St. Dominic's parish in Washington, DC after which he was assigned as associate pastor to St. Mary's parish in New Haven, CT.  In the Fall of 2013, he returned to Washington to pursue a doctorate in Biblical Studies at The Catholic University of America. During his time at The Catholic University of America, Fr. Jordan has served as a teaching assistant and teaching fellow in addition to taking on various posts in the STRS student association.

Gregory T. Doolan received his B.A. in political theory from Georgetown University in 1993 and his Ph.D. in philosophy from The Catholic University of America in 2003. He taught philosophy at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C. from 2004–05 and joined the faculty of the School of Philosophy at the Catholic University of America in 2005. Dr. Doolan’s research interest is in the area of Aquinas’s metaphysics; in recent years, his focus has been on Aquinas’s account of the Aristotelian categories of being. A native of Philadelphia, Dr. Doolan currently lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and three children.

Getting together through music,  in times of isolation...
I recorded here (France)upright bass over the duet by Chris Ledwidge (Ireland): piano and Michael Ash Sharbaugh (USA) synthesizers. 

I improvised over the original track twice, first take was a disaster, second was slightly better but still I couldn’t figure out what the piano was doing so my notes are bad and my timing is also bad.
 I mean, I'm following the sort of pulse but I'm not playing in the right spots, I'm afraid...


So, to save the thing from the trash lid I decided to label my ramblingness as an “abstract impro”, a tag that can excuse or justify many “out of focus” things. I added another thing that I use to bury sloppy things and pretend they are avant-garde brilliant statements: Valhalla Supermassive.
And I did a very creative use of the Delete button

Police Action - disquiet0474

Using an envelope follower following the earlier two tracks, I separately recorded, on my modular, a sine wave and a distorted square wave. These were then further manipulated in Ableton. In addition, an instance of Audio Damage's, Phosphor 3 was added playing a MIDI extraction of the square wave's output.

This takes the week-three track from @chaonaut, made using tracks from @benn-demole and @noimspartacus, doubles the tempo to 144, extracts the three parts and applies various granular effects and reverb to the tracks along with gates, filters and distortion.

Playing on a generic four-note glockenspiel announcement tune. The four notes are rearranged and played by Klevgrand's Pipa and Arturia's Stage-73. There is also an instance of Fundamental providing some additional colour and AudioThing's Soundscapes Vol. 2 providing a drone. All of the tracks are passed through various reverbs and filters.

A CEM3340 based oscillator (saw + triangle, in this case) being passed through a wave folder and Wasp filter and 2HP Pluck. The pitch is being controlled by the vertical axis of my homemade ultrasonic “theramin”. The wavefolder and the filter’s resonance are being modulated by the horizontal axis. The pitch is being quantised by a 2HP Tune. This is combined with a Korg NTS-1 running the Sinevibes Node oscillator and Droplet raindrop delay and being controlled by a Korg nanoKEY Studio touch pad. These two tracks are combined in Ableton and subjected to delays and reverbs.
