This piece describes the mystical vibes one can feel in old, derelict monasteries. How would it sound if the former presence of the monks, their wisdom, their trust in god and their attitude to life could still be heard in their chants, and radiate into the present time ?

This track was initially created in response to the Disquiet Junto Project 0503 but took another direction during its making.

[disquiet0505] born without wings

File updated Sep/7th/2021 after some  positive feedback, shorter, more dynamic...
Part of a work in progress (on hold, almost abandoned) I planned to build 5 repetitive pieces using percussion instruments and tempo delays. My plan was to build some hypnotic rhythms in odd time signatures (3/4 5/4 7/4 9/4 11/4) and make it more in the 1970's repetitive music vein and not on a groovy world music percussion track.
I'm not a serious percussion player really so I can't develop a swinging percussion solo, but I thought it was interesting to explore the "mechanical" development of repetitive, copy/paste grooves I can create using multiple percussion instruments and other objects.

I already shared here the first Pulse 3 track, this is the second I recorded, then a few months back I decided to stop, cause I don't think this is really interesting.
Is it?
I consider three options now:
1- Should I use these full tracks as the basis for something else? (adding other melodic instruments and textures above it?)
2- Should I make a 1 minute snippet and use  it as a rhythmic interlude on an album or something?
3-Or should I trash it and just extract some rhythmic loops for my Loop Vault?
Comments, opinions and critics are appreciated.

The Assignment: Write music for a psychotherapist’s waiting room.

About this track: 
If I were waiting for a therapy appointment, I would want to feel calm and contemplative. Nature makes me feel this way, also music. A nice pondering melody perhaps. A BPM near my resting heart rate of 60. So I used nature sounds (from Freesounds.org). I like being by water. I included some water sounds here. You have to be careful with the water sounds in lobbies. People may have to go to the bathroom too much. Also frogs. But I don't think I found a frog sound. It's mostly birds here. Lots and lots of birds. Hearing these birds made me thankful for birds, and sad for the ones my cats have murdered. I wonder if bird are real? So next I did my best to play calm and contemplative melodies on the D celtic minor Rav tongue drum because its fun to play and makes me happy. Pitched the tongue up an octave on one track. Converted to midi harmony for piano and a synth for other tracks. I'm not 100% sure if I would like this to play in a lobby. Perhaps its too intense. Hard to say. I'd probably be down for the experience.
